Oh there are endless possibilities, they might've just put him there to being with when they caught him, since they wanted him and his memories. Then(only a theory) they might've seen him becoming ill or something and had wanted to check him and in their urgency as they realized things were bad, they put him in since they didn't know what to do~ Experts after all><

i honestly do not believe abstergo has caught them yet, i think desmond just passed out from being under the "gods" power and being forced to stab lucy, then miles was the one talking, he cant be caught yet, i dont believe so, but who knows

We only know that two unknown men placed Desmond back in the Animus. As why you don't need to search for a specific reason. At the end of AC II they placed Desmond in the Animus while they were in a moving car if I recall, that isn't the smartest idea either, still they did it. It was just because they had to get Desmond back in the Animus so that you could still play AC even if you finished the storyline.

True, they were unknown and it was necessary to put him there if we were to be able to play and unlock other achievements.

You played the first 2 and haven't played Brotherhood? Your missing out bro, I would recommend it. The online play is decent also.

I can't wait for this even thou it maybe the last of Ezio (Who I believe is a great main character and we've played as him in 2 games). This looks amazing tho and lets hope it comes out this Nov. and they don't push it back, at one point they weren't gonna release one till 2012 and I hope they make a movie on this soon.

I have loved all the games so far & I am sure this one will be good to but I am ready for them to get to AC3 because Brotherhood was really AC2.5 & I love Ezio but i'm just ready to move own.

But what i think is going in the story is the Alien's/Gods whatever you want to call them that woman that told Ezio/Desmond about the end of the world thing happening before & it's happening again in Desmond's time. Well if it's happening for a 2nd time then that probably means it will happen a 3rd time. So I think there is someone from way in the future living through Desmond's life to see how he stop's it from happening so they can stop it again in there time.
