Most of the fans are currently believing that Itachi his going straight to Kabuto, putting him under genjutsu to stop Edo Tensei and everything will be fine.
But I highly doubt that things are going to get that smoothly. First of all, it would make a really disappointing chapter if the almighty Edo Tensei is stopped just like that. It has a huge meaning for the plot and Kabuto is one of the best developed characters of Kishi. He was introduced as an ally who seems to be quite weak, then turned out to be Orochimaru's assistant and now he's like the ultimate master mind. He's using Tobi and his war for his own (unknown) goals. Kishi will not kill him off like that. Plus he hasnt shown "that technique" yet. Whatever it might be, it's going to be even more powerful than Edo Tensei. (Everything else would be dumb; you dont reveal the more powerful technique first.)

Dont get me wrong, I really like Itachi and dont like Kabuto as a character but Kishi will never allow Itachi to easily kill Kabuto. That doesnt mean that Kabuto will survive and Itachi will fail. I only mean that its not going to be as easy as everyone seems to be expecting it.

i agree with wat u say he is underestimated however its probs because all we have seen is him in the back ground as more of the tactician than a fighter, also we dont know wat else he is capable of after becoming fused with oro cells so he could be a beast of a fighter aswell, i reckon itachi will win in the end due to "plot no jutsu" but kabuto will defo put up a gd fight

Even if Itachi succeeds, Kabuto will come out alive.

Remember, killing the caster doesn't cancel Edo Tensei. It can only be cancelled if the necessary seals are formed.

When Itachi forces Kabuto to perform the seals, by whatever means necessary, he would only have cancelled Edo Tensei, destroying himself during said action. Kabuto won't die.

He can't kill Kabuto before he forces him to perform the seals, otherwise Edo Tensei won't be cancelled. And, when he somehow forces Kabuto to form the seals, Itachi, himself, will disappear.
So logically, Itachi can't kill Kabuto.

I believe it's a great plot device, so that Kabuto can be seen later on in the series again, as another boss villain, this time as the main one.

Right... the killing thing could be difficult. But not necessarily. A technique like Amaterasu could kill Kabuto even when Itachi has faded away.
But that woudl still be too simple...

I agree with you it's gonna be hard on Itachi, I mean Kabuto got now his brain and half or part of Oro's which makes him a certified Genious xd , but Itachi will find a way, I mean Kishi is finishing of bad guys one by one, and he picked Itachi to finish/try to stop Kabuto :)

Yeah, i agree..and I don't think Itachi will be the one to stop Kabuto...I actually think it is going to be Sasuke...would be an excellent way for Sasuke to show his new found power..who knows we might even see a little Sasuke on Madara action!

I haven't seen anyone underrating Kabuto. If they do there are some reasons to be skeptical about him. I mean all we know about Kabuto is that he's worked for Orochimaru for a great deal of his life, and the last time we really saw him fight was years ago against Naruto and Tsunade. Don't know really anything about his childhood before Oro, we never hang out with him and see what he's doing.

No one seriously thinks that Itachi is going to win just like that...and it's because of "that jutsu". Even Kabuto said that it's really easy to take control of someones body (Kabuto's in this case) and break the edo tensai when he was talking to Tobi and that's why he has an ace up his sleeve.
