Why are we even having this discussion? We live, we die.
And it´s so unnecessary and (no offence) stupid to fear death when you´re alive, it´s like censoring porn, that´s how dumb it is..

Now, theoretically speaking I'm not afraid of death. Because I'm just sitting here thinking about death and how it works and what not, giving me no reason to fear it.

But realistically speaking, if I were about to die.. I would naturally not want that to happen, I would fear it in that moment. So seeing as how actions speak louder than words, yes. I am afraid of death.

Okay, scenario then: someone, or a group of someone's, you love are in great danger. You have a choice to either run and you're garaunteed 100% survivability, but these people would most like die. Or, you could charge in and save them, with 100% success rate, but reducing your odds of making it out alive down to 10-20%.

What would you do? Would your fear take over and cause you to flee? Or would you laugh in death's face and save the people you care about? Would you do the same if they weren't people you even know? Would you do it for one person you didn't know?

Me: I'd do it for someone I hate...my worst enemy. If I survive, then I might gain a friend; if I die, well, at least I saved someone and I don't have to deal with them anymore.

Again with my theoretical/realistic dilemma, I wouldn't know what I would do if I was actually in that situation.

My brain would be telling me to get out of there so I could live.

Although my heart would be telling me to run in there and save all of them :|

I would probably (hopefully) save them due to the insane amount of adrenaline to motivate me/make me do it.

So to answer your question standing from where I am now, behind a computer. Yes. I would save the people in danger regardless of if I knew them/loved them/hated them. I wouldn't know what would happen the situation actually happened. Sorry if this is a bit confusing :s.

Lol, why´re you so scared of death? It´s natural, it happens to every living thing and you will die too one day so why´re you scared?
How can you live if you´re afraid of dying? No matter how it is, enjoy what you have now...

I am afraid to die because I dont wanna die yet. Of course its a natural thing and no one knows when that will happen unless you are terribly sick. If its your time then theres nothing you can do about it.
I'm just saying its fine to be afraid of death if you are not ready.

I'm not afraid of dying, but what comes after it. Dying is inevitable, death is part of life, the conclusion, the final chapter, but what comes after it is much scarier, I'm religious, so I believe in Heaven and all that, but I sometimes wonder, what if after we die, it's all just gone? Everything?

Depends on your beliefs personally. From a religious point of view, for someone who believes in the afterlife - there is something to strive for before death arrives. I fear God, but not death.
I'm more worked about not having done enough good deeds in my lifetime to make it to heaven and also not leaving behind empty promises.
