People were able to show moments of her stupidity in the manga/anime. People were not able to show her intelligence/combat smarts using the manga/anime.

She was intelligent enough to see Naruto's great will and determination before anyone else.
She was one of the first, if not the first, to acknowledge Naruto.

She saw in Naruto something she wished for herself....she was spineless and gave up, but at some point he wasn't.

you know what...somethings wrong...at the start of the manga Naruto was famous as someone who gave up and threw tantrums...to the point that Sakura was expecting him to quit while doing tree climbing.

as for the chunin exams...didn't it gloss over Hinata's actions, leaving it ambiguous whether she cheated or not.

Well, we've never seen her in a commander-type situation before, so no, she has no such feats. However, while haters would like Hinata to be stupid to fuel their hate, she has a 3.5, which is the same as Sasuke in the 3rd databook, showing that she has very good potential for intelligence feats. Unfortunately, it's never specified what the intelligence levels mean. It's not necessarily tactical knowledge as Sakura's listed even higher than Sasuke, despite the overwhelming evidence suggesting that she's not as good at tactics. So one's intelligence ranking me be also related to knowledge.

The thing about the DB especially about such a broad rating topic such as "intelligence" is that you can't pinpoint exactly what it's referring to. Some people can have book smarts, but be hopeless at battle intelligence, strategy, planning, etc. Naruto doesn't have book smarts but he has shown very adept battle intelligence besides the obvious comic relief and memory. I really would just take "intelligence" as an overall thing rather than specifics. You know what I mean?

Hinata's never been in a 1V1 other than a taijutsu match against Neji, and Pain. Tactics don't work in those situations. In all other scenarios, she's been a support member. She also doesn't have any "feats" to make her stupid either, so any logical person that's not a desperate hater will default to the databook. All you're doing amounts to only a person with enough mental issues to actually devote time to try to insult A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. You really don't have a leg to stand on. It is you, who has to deal with that.
