I'm a body builder. My daily diet consists off great loads of anything with high protein.

Morning: Cereal

Lunch: I usually skip lunch

Dinner: Steak or chicken with steamed broccoli and maybe some corn.

My diet from when I was obese:

Everything in the kitchen is mine, my family can have what's left.

Either way, whatever counts as obese, US have them the most (or 3rd most). Or do you mean most of the obese ones in US are just persons with a lot of muscle compared to bodyweight and that the same doesn't apply in the rest of the world? I think if there's a failure in system it's like that all over the world. So every other country can still come up with that "excuse" but US still has almost the highest numbers of them.

I can't say for certain that the system we use compares exactly to the systems in use by other countries. After all, we use a different measurement system because we're weird like that.

I'm not saying most of our obese are actually muscular, I'm just pointing out that the system we use doesn't account for that.

IMO all of that is still an excuse. No matter how you look at it US has a problem with unhealthy food and what it does to your body. Whether or not the system for it is minory flawed.

That's your opinion, yes. The point I'm trying to make is that if the system of measurement is flawed, then what do you base "U.S. Citizens have an obesity problem on?"

I'm not saying that we aren't unhealthy, I'm saying on what statistic do you base the obesity issue?

Maybe it's just where I live, but if .33% (One-third) of the U.S. is obese, how come out of every 100 people I see, maybe 3 of them are obese? Most of the obese people I do see are much older and most likely retired; meaning they have income but don't work. Bad food + no work = Whale.

I don't exactly think it's flawed. I honestly haven't seen a person who has been categorisised being obese but who doesn't have problem with weight.

Sorry to say but I think it's just obese people talking.

Feel free to post some photos of "obese but not really"-people to back your claim about the system being flawed (no sarcasm).

I was on a diet, but now I realized since my metabolism is beast I can eat whatever I want and still look good :p.
I mainly eat McDonalds,Burger king,Some microwave food,Ramen noodles or A friend of mine comes over and cooks.
It's not really about what you eat,it's about what you do.You are correct, sandwiches do have a lot of calories in them and protein depending on the condiment, but most americans eat that and don't do anything they either sit on their couch and watch tv or stay on a computer. If they were even trying to lose weight they would do it quickly with the intake of calories and proteins they have. It's a fact that big people lose weight faster So It's not really america's fault to have that rate of obesity because most obese people are obese because they want to :l.
And if I may ask what country are you from?

So you're calling me obese? And now you want me to post pictures of myself? That does not seem wise as I have no idea who you are. So you live in the United States? If not, you can't really comment on our "Obesity scale" as I've already pointed out there's a high probability it's different than your own.

Our regular, everyday, normal check-up, weight calculation system calculates body fat percentage based solely on height vs. weight. It doesn't factor in bone density, muscle mass, or any other factors. Muscle weighs more than fat which is why my doctor explained that my percentage is off. If I were to force myself to be at the weight considered "normal" for my height, they'd put me in the hospital because they'd think I'm anorexic.

I'm asking you to back your claim that U.S. citizens are so damn obese. I'm not even sure why you care. Fine, go on thinking that you know everything about "Americans," but you do realize there are 2 Americas? North and South America? I've been guessing you meant North America, but specifically the United States this whole time as I cannot accurately comment on the systems in place for other countries.

Firstly, 97% of all statistics are untrue(Including that one, but yeah most statistics are bullshit).

Define obesity? Are you talking statistically obese? anything above 30 percent body fat(for guys anyway) is considered obese, and it's not just in america that a good amount of the population is statistically obese. Me personally, last time I measured(a month ago) I was 7% body fat, I workout consistently and I keep to a very healthy diet, and so do a vast majority of my friends. When I walk down the street in time square I maybe see 10 out of 1,000 people who are "obese" as you are implying 33% of americans are, which is not the case at all. Yes, it's very realistic that 33% of americans are obese, but only statistically, not obesity as you imagine it. Statistically obese isn't THAT fat, it's pretty ****ing fat, but not obese like those people you see on shows like "the biggest loser," your average fat person is probably obese.

How you perceive U.S. citizens based on unknown statistics and the word "obese:"

You must be registered for see images

What I see on a daily basis:

You must be registered for see images

I don't see many obese people in this picture, but according to those statistics, 1 out of every 3 is obese. Now, they may be "obese" according to the charts, but are they really? Nope. What if I said Italians only eat Spaghetti, French people only eat Escargo, the Germans are still against Jews, and Russians only drink vodka, and I meant it? You'd probably say: "Stupid American, this is not true. I live here."

I don't see alot of obese people. I know like one. America isn't full of fat people, but we do have the most fat people due to the food.

I, myself, am random. Sometimes I hardly eat, sometimes I'm really hungry. Either way, what I do eat is unhealthly in my opinion. It's not fast food everyday (Not a fan of FF), but just regular food and snacks. I guess as I grewup my body adjusted. I use to be fat, but as I got older/taller and actually worked out some, I mananged to maintain a healthy appearance. I'm not skinny or a gym-aholic an still want to get In more shape, but I'm 100% not obese nor fat. Sounds cliche, but I'm normal.

Yes, Statistics and the science of bringing together numbers to attain facts is all voodoo. Your word is far more accurate than scientists spending a year gathering statistics on the US population.

33% is the official rate. 33% are fatasses and this is fact. If you want to complain give me some statistics that show otherwise.

Some people have more muscle or heavier bones than others and it can add a few pounds. In the US the military has a different method of finding how much body fat a person has. The BMI charts ARE extremely off and I'm not putting the blame on that. Yes there are alot of obese people here but there are also alot of extremely fit people who are considered overweight or borderline obese because of the BMI charts are only weight x height.

It can go either way. I'm not well-versed in Statistics, but I know it's easy to draw incorrect conclusions from statistical data. The News does it all the time with the numbers they put up.

For that statistic to be accurate, they'd have to account for muscle mass, bone density, and actual percent of body fat.

Then you have to develop a whole bunch of other things before you can say with a certain degree of accuracy that the numbers presented reflect the data. It is very easy to get false statistics.

This ^^ is what I've been trying to say all along. Our system is flawed from the beginning.
