Competition is fierce. If you have a degree, competition for higher profile jobs is even more fierce. Try your best to find a job that pays 10-15 an hour with long term security. You can get this pay in a large variety of jobs with little to no experience, you just need to be on the right websites or teaming up with the right temp agencies.

I worked mediocre $12 an hour jobs for most of my 20's. Now I have a much more secure job in my field, but it took a long time and I saw many near misses along the way. In general, a company has to take a risk with someone with little to no experience, even if they have the education. The simple fact is there is always someone better than you out there, so it always involves luck and timing. Having a network of connections through friends and family helps as well. The more exposure you can get, the better.

Pretty much this :sdo:
I secured a spot during my final years at high school. earning something around $25 a day. I studied and grew into this junior developer. after my graduation, there was already a spot for me. so by the time I graduated I already had 3 years of experience in the computing field.

Well don't give up. I know you're looking for a secure/stable job but any specific jobs in mind? I don't know your age/experience but this time of the year, highschool/college/university students are done with school and applying for summer jobs. Applying now and expecting to get a job will be a bit more difficult because of that. Also, maybe it's your resume that's lacking too...

If Nicki Minaj, Rihanna.etc can all come from the Caribbean and can become the biggest AMERICAN Pop Icons, hell, if Jews can come Israel and all over the place(I too am a Jew seeking to become American and become a Musician) and Run HOLLYWOOD, dude, there is no excuse for you being a born American and not making it, try harder and also do you have a G-d given talent? That could be your ticket to success.

What's your work experience?

Do you have a resume?

Are you a veteran?

These three things are important to employers.

Finding a job has never been a problem for me. Most jobs hire me just for having a high school diploma, a decent work history, and a killer resume. If you're lacking any of those, that might be the reason as to why you can't find one.
