It sucks that I am unemployed. Maybe I should be looking for a job instead of being on the narutobase I know that's what some of you are thinking.

For the most part I have been doing temporary jobs like yard work the things people don't want to do in the summer. However I just want a steady and more secure job.

What sucks is that I couldn't even get hired at McDonald's

Temp agencies they offer a lot of different positions and they don't care about experience and most are willing to train you plus if you do good at the company you can get hired permanent

Were you a good worker? Did you have other jobs were you quit and didn't put in two week notices? If you had other jobs how long did you stay there? Is your city small? Those things can effect you getting a jobs.

Competition is fierce. If you have a degree, competition for higher profile jobs is even more fierce. Try your best to find a job that pays 10-15 an hour with long term security. You can get this pay in a large variety of jobs with little to no experience, you just need to be on the right websites or teaming up with the right temp agencies.

I worked mediocre $12 an hour jobs for most of my 20's. Now I have a much more secure job in my field, but it took a long time and I saw many near misses along the way. In general, a company has to take a risk with someone with little to no experience, even if they have the education. The simple fact is there is always someone better than you out there, so it always involves luck and timing. Having a network of connections through friends and family helps as well. The more exposure you can get, the better.

i know a lot of people without a 9-5 job or no job, so youre not alone. the problem with our country right now is that the older generations made everything harder for ours. its harder to achieve in just about every area career wise because of it

another issue, when at the time i told my mom i would never find another job. i relalized a lot of places expect people to have experience, which is silly if your new to the workforce. how do you expect anyone to land anything? submitting resumes online also is fail

the temp issue is also another problem. my cousin and many others have told me how they just use people. they hire temps from agencies, give them contracts luring them with the chance of a permanent job. then when the contract is done they let them go and hire another temp. its sad but it saves money from having to give people benefits with a permanent position

Just keep applying.

overall this ^^^ its all you really can do. a lot of people i know got jobs from others they know. so that seems to work in this networking age

I know this sounds like one of those bull crap posts you see all over the internet, but I really DO make $13.50/hr working from home. All I have to have is an internet connection & a phone line.

Call this phone number, (877) 617-9378, then prompt #6, to apply for the position. I've had this job for almost 2 years, now. Give them a call.

Any job requiring higher skill demands experience. You need to find a job offering in your field that does not have a high demand for skill. Not only that, but its often very dependent on the place the company is currently at. I was hired at my current job during a ramping-up phase. They took the risk on me because they had multiple openings and I made a real good impression on the top level boss.

Networking is key, but in the end its a great deal of luck and personality can go a long way sometimes.

Well bud how old are you your age may be doing you in its much harder if your just a teen because most teens leave a job cause they dont have much to lose vs a person in their 20s or 30s
Keep your chinup keep confident (but not cocky) be persistent and sign in minimum wage that gives you a very high chance of getting a job

And once you get the job my advise is work your ass of and always keep moving dont stop to talk or your toast

Hope this helps and i wouldn't be too concerned about discrimination most jobs hire people with families because they are the most in need and are very likely to stay

no im talking about basic jobs like retail at a clothing store or some job at a grocery store. when before it would be a lot of easier for people to get a job like that. not to mention with older people who are also out of work going for the same jobs teens use to do, the economy is sketchy in places for sure. not all places but enough...also i have one of the greatest jobs

but i agree with you, all those other factors play key parts too

on what premise do they not hire you?

lack of experience, education, etc?

I would like to give you some more pointers if I had more bg info on you but that's a bit intrusive so that's up to you.

In anycase, you can try other ways that just grabbing an application and submitting it.

Like people said above, competition is fierce especially in a very populated area.

McD won't hire you with how high they have to pay their employees so they keep it to a minimum.

Most of em are franchise owned so take that in consideration. They only pay people based on the money they make as a store not as a company.

So some franchise or small businesses are in need of people and some do not. like I said, it all comes to location at that point.

Try other means to get yourself out there.

LinkedIn or any other jobfinder websites that are out there.

Maybe hit up temp agency, find people who knows a guy who knows a guy. When it comes to jobs, it all comes down to connections.

Try your parents? that's only if you have a good relationship with them. Most likely they'll just judge you. or maybe hook you up.

You have friends and family, all you have to do is put effort on yourself and try not to get bad reputation.

Does it include a leather couch? if so, I'm interested..

Joking aside, I would like to dabble on some modeling/acting. IDC even if its voice or hand modeling. just do build up some credibility and resume
