His eyes are completely white without iris. Kaguya has an iris.

I don't know what picture you're looking at.

She has no iris and it looks the same as the image of Guy posted above. As I said earlier, the sage's mother does not have any known doujutsu BECAUSE SHE CAME BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD. The byakugan spawned later. If she had Byakugan, her sons would have had it. The only reason the sage had Rinnegan was because she ate the fruit of the God Tree that tainted her chakra. That chakra later manifested in the sage in the form of copying the God Tree's Rinnegan.

Again, she came from another land and predated all known dojutsu, even Rinnegan. Therefore, it is impossible for her to have Byakugan.

That is plausible, especially by Hagoromo's reaction to Naruto's alien question and the fact that he won't explain where she came from

But why would she keep her Byakugan deactivated rather than keep it activated? This actually goes against the assumption that she has the Byakugan. If she had it why would she not keep it activated? If the Byakugan is not activated then there is no proof that she has it until it is shown in the manga.

This is like saying that Part 1 Sasuke has the MS, but it is just not activated. Unless part 1 Sasuke actually activates MS (which is not possible), there is no reason to believe he has it.

EDIT: In the above scans though it is not clear, Neji's cornea and Iris are separate, it's just that it's big

Its a little little bit different. The uchiha dont have special eyes when their sharingan is deactivated(art style wise) the hyuuga DO.

Unless you can provide scans where other people have eyes resembleing a hyuugas, then it is not irrational to guess that she may have it.

If she DOES have it then what kakashi said was true. The uchihas origins lie within the hyuuga.

Is it confirmed? Far from it. But it is not irrational to guess that she may have byakugan. Especially when there is a brother to the sage. (who couldve potentially inherited it.)

I don't know what picture you're looking at.

1) She has no iris and it looks the same as the image of Guy posted above.

2) As I said earlier, the sage's mother does not have any known doujutsu BECAUSE SHE CAME BEFORE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD. The byakugan spawned later. If she had Byakugan, her sons would have had it.

3)Again, she came from another land and predated all known dojutsu, even Rinnegan. Therefore, it is impossible for her to have Byakugan.

The above three points reinforce the fact that she does not have the Byakugan as I was trying to prove.

EDIT: From point 2, the Rikudou had Rinnegan. If Kaguya didn't have it, then where did it come from?

I really don't like these ideas about the Sage's mother having Byakugan. If I were to guess, it seems a lot of members like to try to find a greater meaning behind the Byakugan, considering the Sharingan has been getting such special treatment for essentially 400 chapters. People want to think that Kishi has a great plan for the Byakugan as well, but I highly doubt he will add anymore depth to its lineage.

I will be the first to admit I am wrong if it turns out true, but I strongly believe she doesn't have the Doujustu for multiple reasons.

1. Her eyes don't actually resemble the Byakugan. Saying they do in any way, shape, or form is a stretch.

2. She predated all known shinobi and Doujustu. We know the Rinnegan spawned as a result of the God Tree's fruit tainting the Sage's Mother's Chakra, so she is obviously not the original user of the Rinnegan. Based on this, I find it easy to conclude that the Byakugan was an offshoot that spawned later, much like how the Sharingan was an offshoot of the Rinnegan.

3. If its true that she was the original user of the Doujutsu, then you're wrong about the Uchiha's origins lying with the Hyuuga. Since the Sage's mother obviously predated all other Shinobi life, than that means that the Sharingan, Uchiha, Hyuuga and Byakugan all ultimately owe their origins to the Sage's mother or Juubi EQUALLY. Kakashi's statement goes out the window completely here. Either they owe their origin to the sage's mother and Juubi equally (meaning not related to one another) or the Byakugan came from the sharingan. Since we know for a fact that the sharingan came from the Rinnegan (proof being the Elder son) and the Rinnegan came from the Juubi, there is absolutely no way the Sharingan owes its origins to the Byakugan.

The only saving grace for your theory is the sage's brother. If she did have the doujutsu than it is possible he inherited it. Even if he did, however, that still means the 2 doujutsu's (sharingan and byakugan) owe their origins to the sage and Juubi equally, rather than the Sharingan spawning from the Byakugan.

The above three points reinforce the fact that she does not have the Byakugan as I was trying to prove.

EDIT; From point 2, the Rikudou had Rinnegan. If Kaguya didn't have it, then where did it come from?

Thanks. The Rinnegan came from the Juubi (or God Tree's fruit) tainting the Sage's Mother's chakra to the point where at least one of her offspring inherited aspects of it.

She has an iris. Please look closer.
The lines of her iris and the corner of her eyes clutch together. There is a small grey line in between. Especially noticeable in her right eye (left for the readers).
Next to this, Hyuuga with deactivated Byakugan have been shown in the manga with their eyes the same way.

It is not said anywhere in the manga, that the Byakugan spawned later. That is something you have chosen to believe.
It is just as much possible that the Byakugan is not related to the Juubi.
You dont know with which eyes her sons were born.
We have only seen the sage his eyes after he became the Juubi jinchuriki.
Besides, a child doesnt always inherit everything the parents have and with the fruit having been eaten by Kaguya, one can not say that a child of hers, will always be born with a Byakugan.

Juubi has a Rinnegan in his eyes with tomoe. Kaguya could have Byakugan and have her eyes turned into Rinnegan after she ate the fruit. She could have also been without Rinnegan and the sage could have gained it either due to his mother having eaten the fruit and/or due to becomming the Juubi's jinchuriki before it was split into nine and had to be reformed with the Gedo.

You haven't convinced me. The line you are talking about on the right eye is so small it is negligible. Using this as your proof for her having Byakugan is quite inadequate.

The sage was born with the Rinnegan. It was explained that his mother ate the fruit of the Juubi that tainted her chakra. If you follow this line of events logically, it changed her body and caused at least one of her offspring to be born with the Rinnegan. To prove that point further, we have seen two Juubi jins at this point. Obito did not awaken Rinnegan in his right eye after becoming the Jin. We know that the Rinnegan has a requirement of being a sharingan first before changing. If you follow this line of logic, having Byakugan and becoming the Juubi jin is not the recipe for Rinnegan. Think about it logically now, he was born with Rinnegan and the story of his mother explains it fully.

As I said in the above post, I would be the first to admit I was wrong. I was wrong.

Though I did also state that the saving grace of your theory was the Sage's brother. He now likely had Byakugan and that's how it got passed down. The whole idea of the Sage's mother having Byakugan was.... kinda to simple if you ask me. Afterall, Tobi was Obito which was really simple too, guess it makes sense.

If she is from alien origin (as is the Kaguya from japanese myths), than it might be simple in some way but really cool at the same time. She is ffrom mysterious origin at least and that gives the Byakugan for now some extra cool imo. Tobi being Obito was simple too and I didnt like it at first but after a while I became happy that Tobi=Obito and started to like that Kishi wrote it like that. Tbh, without the sage's brother, the theory could still work too. Kaguya ate the fruit and all so who knows what happened to her after that and her passing down abilities.
