Kaguya travelled to this land.
Is Kaguya from planet earth? Maybe from the moon.
Was she human before she ate the fruit?

Her eyes could be the Byakugan.

For those who doubt the look of her eyes is similar to a deactivated Byakugan.

Edit:
the story she gets her name from is about a princess from the moon

With this info, one could say that the Hyuuga might not have wanted to follow in Kaguya her footsteps and decided to change ways. Maybe that is why Hyuuga means towards the sun, whereas Kaguya would be about the moon.

Kaguya from the old japanese tale:the bamboo cutter(she wears a Hagoromo) comes from Tsuki-no-Mikato , the capital of the moon.
Maybe she came from the moon to get the fruit.
Yeah, I find the alien idea starting to become more likely by the second :).
Hagoromo would basically have sealed the Juubi into the place where his mother came from, the moon.

She is not an alien, she is a human with the Juubi's essence. She was alien to the new land because she came from a far off place and was not known by anyone. And once again, I don't see a Byakugan anywhere on her.

Well with Dragon Ball analogy, she might be an alien indeed

You might wanna look up the meaning of the word "Alien", Mr. google can be of use. The weird interpretation you get from sci fi movies is not the full picture...

Those eyes are clearly not visible perhaps to hide her Rinnegan possibly. White eyes do not count as Byakugan. Even if it was the Byakugan, the nerves near her eyes would be enlarged as happens with all Byakugan users.

Only when they activate it. Not when it is deactivated.

Look at her eyes. Even if it was the Byakugan at least the Iris would be visible. Her eyes are completely white and blank perhaps due to the enormous energy within her which might cause her eyes to shine. It might have been used by kishi as a plot device to hide her Rinnegan. Once again, the page is in Black and White. So we might never be sure that it is the Byakugan until it is proven or we get a official colour page of that page.

The Byakugan is not always drawn in the manga with an iris. Usually it isnt (unless the Byakugan is activated).

But why would she keep her Byakugan deactivated rather than keep it activated? This actually goes against the assumption that she has the Byakugan. If she had it why would she not keep it activated? If the Byakugan is not activated then there is no proof that she has it until it is shown in the manga.

This is like saying that Part 1 Sasuke has the MS, but it is just not activated. Unless part 1 Sasuke actually activates MS (which is not possible), there is no reason to believe he has it.

EDIT: In the above scans though it is not clear, Neji's cornea and Iris are separate, it's just that it's big

Your comparison Sasuke, sharingan and MS and the hyuugas Byakugan doesnt make sense. Sharingan and MS look totally different.
Next to this it is visilble that someone has the Byakugan while it is deactivated.
Sharingan and MS are not visible while deactivated.

Hyuuga dont keep their Byakugan activated 24/7 either. Why would she?
Her's are seperate as well btw. The lines just clutch together with the corner of the eyes.

It is possible that she has Byakugan. That is something one cant deny.
That she has Byakugan is not 100% certain though.

1) There is no evidence that she has Byakugan unless it is proven in the manga. The possibility of her having Rinnegan is actually greater than having Byakugan because of the Fruit's power.

2) What you are taking into consideration is a black and white page. Since, it's not colour, it's impossible to tell whether it is a deactivated Byakugan or just the light's shimmering effect.

3) Plotwise, She has a greater possibility of having the Rinnegan as the Byakugan just doesn't fit in the Sharingan<MS<EMS<Rinnegan relation and would require a lot of explanations to clear up.
