1) There is no evidence that she has Byakugan unless it is proven in the manga. The possibility of her having Rinnegan is actually greater than having Byakugan because of the Fruit's power.

2) What you are taking into consideration is a black and white page. Since, it's not colour, it's impossible to tell whether it is a deactivated Byakugan or just the light's shimmering effect.

3) Plotwise, She has a greater possibility of having the Rinnegan as the Byakugan just doesn't fit in the Sharingan<MS<EMS<Rinnegan relation and would require a lot of explanations to clear up.
I said possible. I never said 100% true.
Please reply to the parts of my last post that you either forgot to do or that you dodged.

Well, you are right and this could go either ways, only time would be able to tell the truth or in this case Kishi.

Look at her eyes. Even if it was the Byakugan at least the Iris would be visible. Her eyes are completely white and blank perhaps due to the enormous energy within her which might cause her eyes to shine. It might have been used by kishi as a plot device to hide her Rinnegan. Once again, the page is in Black and White. So we might never be sure that it is the Byakugan until it is proven or we get a official colour page of that page.

It's not color official coming from the fans....

The fan manga colouring is not official. Either Kishi himself shows Kaguya in colour or we will have to wait for the anime to catch up. Until then, it could go either way as there is no evidence.

I know that its official Kishi colors it in the first few pages only some time week but did it really said it's gonna color next week cause I might missed it? If so then I guess we'll have to wait and see

I actually meant the fan manga colouring done by colourkage.

By the way, next week, we will see Indra's Susanoo colour as well as Asura's Chakra cloak colour. :)

Well, the story she gets her name from is about a princess from the moon
Well than she could be about the moon. Ill edit in mainpost, thanks.

The Hyuuga might not have wanted to follow in her footsteps and decided to change ways.
Maybe that is why Hyuuga means towards the sun.

Kaguya from the old japanese tale:the bamboo cutter(she wears a Hagoromo) comes from Tsuki-no-Mikato , the capital of the moon.
Maybe she came from the moon to get the fruit.

Yeah, I find the alien idea starting to become more likely by the second :).
Hagoromo would basically have sealed the Juubi into the place where his mother came from, the moon.

op: I think she came from the underworld to save mankind, hence her demonic appearance and her likeness to the Reaper Death Seal.

Hagoromo created the moon

/thread
I dont believe that the moon was created by Hagoromo.
A world without a moon wouldnt work. It would be pitchblack at night, no mooneffect on the tides etc.
I believe he sealed Juubi's shell in the moon though.

How did she save mankind by using force to rule the land as a goddess and causing the Juubi to attack mankind?
The underworld I can see as a possibility though, however her becomming death/the reaper death seal could happen later in her life though (moon first, underworld second) and she could be from the moon at the same time.
The Kaguya from the myths was from the moon.
I find the moon more likely than her comming from the underworld.

Obviously she didn't have Rinnegan. The reason the Sage had the Rinnegan was because he was the offspring of the woman who at the fruit tainted by the Juubi/God Tree's chakra. She obviously had no doujutsu known to the Narutoverse because she came before everyone else we know. Her eyes are explained by the fact she was not of that land.
