[Raiton] Agnes learns how to shock her foes with Detective L

*Agnes sits down and stretches briefly. Lately Guv has been busy training in both Suiton and Katon, so she promised him that she would continue training as well, so then not all of it was on his shoulders. After all, he's still busy trying to find this Medea girl, and she has yet to truly have a purpose in this world...

Agnes looks down gently at a piece of paper, an application for a new sensei. She then looks ahead, curious as to how the new sensei will teach and, for that matter, what he looked like.*

 

[Detective L]

Dean Winchester makes his way to the training field in order to train a young girl, pretty and vibrant he hoped. Dean always liked the ladies, and teaching them was a perk. Upon arriving there, he sees a young girl in the distance. Huh, she was quite the beauty. Shaking his head, Dean smiled and walked towards her.

"Hey there, I am Dean Winchester of the Nekura Clan. I will be teaching you in Lightning I believe. Fun fact, it was the first element I completed. Now, first, tell me everything you know of the element in the Naruto Verse, it's strengths, weaknesses, KG made from it and notable users of the element. Use as much detail as possible."


Dean then utilized his Earth based chakra, and made a chair out of the Earth itself. He wanted to sit for a while, in order to listen carefully.

*Agnes looked up as the man began to introduce himself to her. Called himself Dean Winchester of the Nekura clan; although the name, at least to her, was somewhat unfamiliar, the clan was. Supposedly they were one of the... more aggressive clans according to Guv, yet this person seemed cordial enough. She had a weird feeling though, that this man may be somewhat perverted...*

I swear, if this guy begins hitting on me, I'll... dose him with water, yeah, that sounds good.

*The man then creates a chair of stone and sits down on it, expecting an explanation of Raiton. Agnes then stands up, placing her hands downwards in front of her pelvis. Although the hands are folded together, the palms are kept slightly open and the thumbs begin to twiddle somewhat.*

"Raiton is the lightning element, utilized through the chakra system to cause lightning to appear, capable of paralyzing, stunning, and causing extreme damage to opponents. Although it's a highly destructive element, it's also incredibly difficult to control, given its variance in amount, as well as its unpredictability, thus making precise aiming difficult. It's also capable to backfiring quickly, and causing collateral damage, and thus practice is needed before one can properly use it. Some shinobi capable of using this element with great use are the Raikage, the third and fourth in particular, and Kakashi and Sasuke. The former two shinobi are capable of such precise control of Raiton that they are capable to creating thick armours of lightning capable to repelling most attacks without causing damage to their own bodies by doing so. The latter two shinobi are capable of precision both in terms of aim, as in Sasuke using Kirin, and also control, but in a smaller, but more concentrated scale through the use of Chidori.

Erm, Raiton is strong against Doton, the last element I or my friend Guv have yet to start mind, as Doton usually carries particles of any numbers of minerals within it, thus allowing great damage to any doton jutsu when one uses Raiton to counter it. However, Fuuton counters Raiton as air insulates any lightning that travels through it, as there's nothing in the air in high enough concentrations to carry or conduct electricity, thus causing it to die down and lose its concentration. Suiton, one would think, would be the element weak to Raiton, except water, unlike the earth, is a more perfect conductor of electricity, and hence doesn't become significantly damaged through electricity flowing through it. Hence, a potential move to counter any suiton technique, especially is it involves the user of the technique holding a portion of water in their hands, it to conduct electricity through the water, thus damaging the opponent, mind, this won't eliminate the jutsu itself, so one must still properly counter the jutsu. Finally, both Raiton and Katon, Guv's most skilled element, are both intangible elements, meaning that unless one of the two takes a more physical form, for example with the Dragon Flame Release Song technique, both jutsus would go through each other.

Some tekkei genkais of the Raiton element include Storm Release, the ability to manipulate clouds to conduct lightning, which uses Raiton and Suiton; Swift Release, the ability to greatly increase one's speed in battle, which uses Raiton and Fuuton; and Dark Release, the ability to absorb most intangible techniques and then use them against the opponent, which uses Raiton and Katon. I hope this satisfies you, and that I didn't speak any mistakes or miss anything."

*Agnes then kisses her thumbs before dropping her hands to her sides, looking intently at Dean.*

Note: I wasn't sure if I should mention Magnetism here or not, as nothing's really confirmed in terms of what elements are used for that particular release.

 

[Detective L]

"That's a pretty good. You covered all the aspects needed of the element. It is indeed a powerful element, and destructive in nature. I would say it is one of the least versatile elements. It has very few variants within itself, mostly released as a projectile or shape manipulation is used to make a certain constructs etc. We will be going through them during training."

Dean then took off his bag, from which he withdrew a small, white paper. This was no ordinary paper, it was a quite useful teaching tool. Dean then walks to Agnes, and hands her the paper.

"See, this paper is quite useful. It's called chakra paper. It allows me to see if you can indeed "channel" Lightning based chakra, by sending it through the paper. How will I know if it works? It will crackle up! A different effect for each element though. So, mold your Lightning based chakra and channel it into the chakra paper through the hand you are holding it in. Explain what happens in as much detail as possible."

Dean then once again, waited for a perfect demonstration.

*Agnes face begins to bear a deep red blush, realizing she forgot something.*

"Um, I forgot to introduce myself, my deepest apologies for that Dean. My name is Agnes Oblige, shinobi of... um, I don't know, I don't actually really have a home, or village, just a small hut in the middle of the Land of Rivers. So yeah, just Agnes Oblige, ex-Vestal of Wind."

*As she says this, she finally takes notice of the paper, and instinctively knows what to do.*

"Oh, I did this before with Castiel, my fuuton sensei. Don't worry, I will have this done shortly."

*She gently takes the paper with her right hand, her index and middle fingers gingerly clasping the paper with her thumb, her eyes beaming more than a few moments ago, her face's blush diluting slightly each minute. However, as she clasps the paper, she comes to a realization that with fuuton, the proper chakra just naturally came to her, but with this element, she wasn't so sure. How did Raiton go? Her blush began to return as she began to ponder... she knew that electricity was capable of shocking people, but it was usually a surge that caused a physical bolt to appear...*

*She began to go into a kneeling position, first right leg, and then left leg, and finally laying her bottom on her heels, as she continued her pondering... thus, the surge seems to carry a high frequency that allow vibrations to occur, thus, if she pushes her chakra continually through both of her arms swiftly enough, it may create a spark, it's worth a shot. Reaching this conclusion, she clasps the paper within the palms of both of her hands, her fingers interlocked with one another, and her right thumb over her left. She then closes her eyes and lowers her hands towards her pelvis, fingers facing downward. She lowers her head, and kisses her pointer fingers, and then her thumbs before beginning to concentrate chakra towards the palms of her hands. As the chakra begins to form, she begins to send additional chakra in waves, hoping this would help increase its frequency... but three minutes later, she couldn't feel the paper winkle, and in fact, it began to tear again. Closing her eyes tighter, she began to concentrate further chakra into the palms, sending it in more frequent waves, vibrating it more tightly... which begins to create a shock. She continues this for another minute, until she feels a sharp shock over both palms.*

"Ouch!"

*Her eyes spark awake, and she falls over, quickly arising up though, still grasping the paper with her right palm. She then opens the palm, showing Dean the paper. She can only hope that this worked...*

 

[Detective L]

Dean sees as Agnes truly tries to get it right, she was already working hard, even in the beginning of training. He merely let out a smirk. She took a while, but the all too familiar sound of Lightning could be heard as Agnes successfully channeled the chakra into the paper. This caused the paper to crinkle (you were supposed to mention that <,<).

"Aha! Well done Agnes, it seems you do have a Lightning affinity. The next step is to actually start up the training of the element, I hope you are ready, this is going to be difficult and at the same time, exciting! Now, I have method of doing things. First, I will explain the technique to you, the I want you to perform it, give me at least 2 advantages and disadvantages and how you use it in battle. If yo have questions, ask away!"

Dean then made a serious face, as he looked at Agnes.

"Let us begin. First, I want you to manipulate your Lightning based chakra to create small bolts of Lightning that attacks the opponent, in this case, my clone. Now, this technique is fairly simple and can be used very quickly, although it is of low rank it can be useful at times as it requires no hand seals. This is the most basic technique of the element, and isn't used a lot. Use it on my clone to deliver a moderate shock, that would disperse him."

Dean creates a clone that runs towards Agnes with great speed.

*Agnes smiles slightly at Dean, an emotion she made to loosen up the atmosphere from Dean's sudden serious mood. Truly the Nekura can change promptly, but this didn't concern her as much as the clone charging right towards her. Yikes, no patience I see.... She then began concentrating chakra toward her right hand, sending it in ever stronger waves, similar to how she create the initial shock during the chakra paper exercise. As she felt her hand beginning to buzz, she held it back, clenching all her fingers together. At the beginning of the fourth wave, when the clone was about one meter away from her, she pushed her right hand forward, and spread her fingers apart, causing a bolt to head toward the clone. Although she aimed towards its right knee, as that leg was upwards to propel the clone forward, and thus by targeting the right knee, it would cause it to numb and be temporarily paralyzed, and thus cause the clone to fall. Instead, the bolt went to the upper right pelvis, merely causing it to poof away. Agnes tilted her head to the right slightly, slightly pinching her chin with her right pointer finger and thumb, puzzling over something. After about a half-minute or so, she dropped her right hand back down to her side, and gave Dean her full attention, beginning her thoughts and explanations of the jutsu she just performed.*

"It seems as if this jutsu is easy and quick to perform, given that it doesn't require any handseals or complex shape manipulation for proper use. This puts it in the same category as jutsus such as the Wind Terror jutsu, as jutsus capable of complementing a decent Taijutsu regiment, meaning that, for example, you can use this jutsu to numb an opponent's legs, hence causing them to trip and lose their stance, thus giving you an edge to overwhelm your foe, similar to how the Wind Terror jutsu can be used to cut an opponent's leg for a similar, if more deadly and permanent, result. I also imagine that if you would target an opponent's face with this jutsu, that the bright light from the shock alone would cause temporary blindness, thus a similar use as the previous example for a complimentary jutsu for a Taijutsu regiment. Which seems to be its main purpose, one shouldn't use this as the main hook for the attack though, as it's too weak for it.

Now, the chief problems with this jutsu as its poor range and precision, both siblings of its crux flaw. Now, how I performed this, sprawling my fingers out as a funnel through which my chakra was sent, doesn't allow for the same precision as the Wind Terror jutsu. You see, when you use the Wind Terror jutsu, you must swing your hand to propel the chakra towards the opponent, but this swing actually allows for more precision, as you're physically guiding the chakra itself towards the targeted area. Meanwhile, using this jutsu only allows for a estimated target, as you're not physically using any motion with your hand or arm to guide the chakra towards your opponent, but rather using it as a funnel to push your chakra out, quite a difference when implemented into a battle. Also, because the air itself doesn't conduct electricity that well, this jutsu, given its low voltage, is unable to retain much power for very long distances, hence I was barely able to connect to the opponent that well even at the short distance at which the jutsu struck."

*Agnes stretches as she finishes her explanation, her smile still there.*

 

[Detective L]

Dean looks at Agnes as she performs her first jutsu with ease. It was as though she had done it before, perhaps she was just a natural at the element, seeing as it wasn't an easy element to control. This technique was easy though, and so, Dean waited to see if she could perform the others with the same prowess.

"Great performance and analysis. There isn't much to add, I believe you got all the points for that technique. Here's the jutsu you just learned."

"Now, let's head to the next jutsu. I want you to manipulate your chakra, changing into the properties of Lightning charka and then concentrating it into your hands. After that, slams your hands onto the ground, releasing the chakra in the form of a Lightning stream towards the opponent. Use it on my incoming clone."

Dean then creates a clone that runs towards Agnes, with a sword in hand.

*Agnes catches the scroll with her right hand, and looks for a location to set it. Unfortunately, the dress she wore lacks any pockets, and Guv wasn't here, so she didn't have a satchel either. She looks around, and finds a nearby stump to her left, and tosses it onto the stump, causing it to bump once before landing on the furthest side from Agnes. As she does so, she listens to Dean's message, nodding as he finishes.*

Essentially, activated like the last one, but propelled on the ground instead of the air, sounds easy enough.

*As she finishes the thought, Dean's clone, already being created, initiates its dash towards Agnes, sword in hand. As last time, Dean went straight for the kill... Agnes sighs, but she already had an idea how to propel this jutsu efficiently. She begins the first wave of chakra towards her right hand, holding it dangling near her pelvis, fingers clenched together, but with the palm open and facing her right thigh, it being parallel to the right side of her body. She found that to activate the buzzing sensation, thus indicating a proper amount of chakra to create a bolt, or in this case, a stream of lightning for the power of these current jutsus, a number of three waves was needed, and the fourth then propels it. As she finished her mental reminder of her methodology, a third wave of chakra was sent, thus creating the buzzing sensation similar to the last jutsu, but Dean was about six feet away, thus, with the fourth wave starting, she slammed her right palm onto the ground about two feet in front of her, her body bent, but her head still looking forward. Her right knee bends, with her right foot forward, and her left leg slides slightly towards the left, leading there to be a slant to it, and her left foot slightly turns outward; her right fingers sprawl as the palm slams onto the ground, this propelling the chakra forward as a lightning stream, while the thumb and lower palm acts as a barrier to prevent the stream from going backward, as the thumb is facing away from her body. The stream hits Dean's clone, causes his legs to go numb thus stopping his dash. The clone then goes poof, and Agnes restraightens her body, bearing a new smile at the fact that, again, she did this jutsu right.*

"This jutsu seems to have quite a wide range, not in terms of distance away from you, but rather distance covering you, as it covers completely in front of you, thus proving a cheap, easy method to stop any march towards your location without elaborate arrays of handseals nor requiring intricate usages of chakra, being able to be utilized with only a few waves of chakra. Also, this can be used to disrupt an opponent's stance by numbing their legs, although this is less effective for this usage than the previous jutsu I learned."

*Agnes pats down you knees as she continues her explanation.*

"Now, unlike the last jutsu, where the fingers were mostly used to propel the jutsu, but less attention was needed towards their actual location, given Raiton's unpredictability, this jutsu can actually backfire, as the fingers must face forward to propel the jutsu forward. If, say, the thumb was crooked towards your body, it would send a stream towards your own leg, thus causing you pain, and possibly giving an clever shinobi a chance to counter you, and even possibly giving them an edge. Thus, attention towards your hand's position when you slam it onto the ground is crucial for the best usage of this jutsu. However, in my opinion, this jutsu is much less effective than the last jutsu for several reasons. "

"This jutsu is dependent on two factors for proper usage, one, that it has a clear path towards the opponent, and two, that the opponent has some form of contact with the ground. Disrupting either of these two factors nulls its potential. To counter the forming, several things can be done. Any movement of wind on the ground can obviously counter it, but so can an earthen wall already formed or enhanced by a decent amount of chakra, but this is considering that it is formed mostly before this jutsu is used. In fact, unless if the wall is C-Rank or above (as a C-Rank wall would completely stop a D-Rank Raiton jutsu, regardless of Doton's weakness to Raiton), it would completely pulverise it. But let's consider this scenario: you possess the ability to sense chakra, and you see it beginning to enter to the ground, and thus you immediately use this jutsu, as you possess a Raiton specialty. Even if the wall is beginning to form, this jutsu would pulverise it and keep moving as there was little to prevent its movement. Thus, if you would use a jutsu, just use a fuuton one and not waste your time with a wall for a D-Rank Raiton jutsu.

*Agnes sticks out her tongue... until she realizes that she was still talking to Dean, and not to Guv. She immediately blushes and turns her head down for a moment.*

"Forgive me for the completely unacceptable behavior there Dean-sensei."

*She then faces Dean again, a blush still covering her face.*

"Now, where was I... oh yes, the factors. The other factor is that the opponent has contact with the ground, which is fairly obvious how one would counter it by metagaming the crap out of the match for a D-Rank jutsu. The last disadvantage, though, is that more movement is required to use this jutsu than the other one, and one can merely "aim" the other jutsu toward the opponent's legs for a similar effect, making this jutsu mostly pointless."

*Agnes stretches her arms again, this time slightly exaggerated to calm down her blush, and looks at Dean, but her smile is slight this time.*

 

[Detective L]

Dean was quite shocked at Agnes' way of analyzing the technique. She was good, but there was till a lot she didn't know yet. A small smirk was formed as Dean thought. He walked forward as he raised his head, looking Agnes straight in the eye.

"Very well done, Agnes. You surprised me with your nice analysis. There was one thing that bothered me though. The C rank wall (Earth) wouldn't completely stop the technique. Earth is weak to Lightning right, so they would simply cancel each other out. Other than that, good. Here you go."

"Now, for the last D rank. First, start off by manipulating your Lightning based chakra, which should be quite easy by now since you are getting used to it. After that, move the palm of your dominant hand in a horizontal motion. This would allow you to release a wave of electricity towards your opponent. A fairly easy technique to perform, requires no hand seals and can easily be used in conjnction with Water based jutsu. Use it on my clone!"

Dean creates yet another clone that runs towards Agnes.

*Agnes nods as Dean corrects her mistake. Turns out there is so much more to learn, as to be expected.*

"Thank you for correcting me Dean-sensei, I just hope that I don't continue with these grotesque mistakes."

*She then catches the next scroll with her right hand and tosses it onto the stump, landing next to the last scroll, and then turns her attention back to Dean, who was finishing up his next explanation before creating yet another clone to dash towards her. As she began her method for creating Raiton chakra, feeling the first wave forming within her right hand, she begins to reflect upon Dean's words...*

Okay, so I first concentrate chakra within my dominant hand, and then swipe my palm horizontally, presumably palm facing the opponent *Now the second wave forms, and the clone is approaching her, nine feet away* So, this is essentially like the Wind Terror jutsu, but with Raiton instead of Fuuton, and with my palm open instead of using the side of my hand, okay, this seems easy enough.

*As she finishes her thought, the third wave is finishing, and the clone is five feet away, seemingly increasing its pace and it drew closer, that, or she hasn't paid proper enough attention to its distance, given that she has been lost in her thoughts. The fourth wave comes easily enough though, and she waves her right palm, palm facing the upper chest of the clone, horizontally, with the apex of the curve being slightly ahead than the rest of the curve, about one foot ahead of Agnes' thorax at the base, and one and a half foot ahead at its apex. This creates a wave of electricity that reaches the clone within a short time, demolishing the clone as easily as the other two jutsus have done. Yet, she notes that the remaining electricity from the peripheries of the wave continue unfocused for a short time before the air naturally insulates it. As then draws her hands towards her lower back, and clasps her hands together, her back being more spry from her successful performance of that jutsu. Her current methodology of performing Raiton jutsus seem to be working quite successfully, at least as of right now. She smiles slightly, and unconsciously moves her head slightly left and right, she's enjoying herself somewhat.*

"Now, let's begin with the explanation of this particular jutsu, to be known one day as the Raiton Wind Terror, and its through this comparison that most of my explanation with occur. The reason I will make this comparison is that both of these jutsus have essentially the same initiation, in that you first need to concentrate chakra with your hand, and then swing it, releasing the chakra as you perform the swing, with the apex of the swing releasing the most chakra, at least if you wish to best use these jutsus. Yet, the very fundamentals of the elements of Raiton and Fuuton show just how different the usages of each of these jutsus are. With the Wind Terror jutsu, its the thin quality of wind that also accentuates the sharpness of it, allowing Fuuton jutsus to actually cut into skin and muscle, thus causing severe damage and possibly even paralysis of limbs and general muscles if cut deep enough, but it also carries the benefit of bleeding damage, and thus severe pain. Although this would reduce the effectiveness of all but the deadliness genjutsu jutsus, it would reduce the effectiveness of Taijutsu and Kenjutsu protocols, thus allowing you to potentially overpower your opponents. Yet, with this jutsu, it can possibly paralyze the opponent, yet, because of how far spread this jutsu is, it probably won't cause severe paralysis, especially because of how weak it also is.

*Agnes takes a quick breath before continuing, her hands now going back to being dangling by her sides.*

"The chief advantages of this jutsu, then, are how quick it is to perform this, and how easy it is to disrupt an opponents moves using this jutsu. Because all you need to do is swipe your palm horizontally towards your opponent, this can be used to easily stop a dash, or to force an opponent to stop any form of jutsu concentrations or hand seal preparations to counter this jutsu. While it is not, and should not be, the main form of defense nor attack, but can be a useful complement for each, if the attack is central around jutsu usage. Yet, if the attack is central around Taijutsu, then this jutsu is less useful than the first one unless you have training in any open palm form of combat, as the few seconds possibly required to re-enter a combat stance from the use of this jutsu could make a difference in those sort of scenarios."

*Agnes then tilts her head to the right somewhat and takes another breath*

"Yet, the true problem of this jutsu is that, unlike the Wind Terror jutsu, none of the effects of this jutsu hold any worthwhile effect. Because of the wave formation, none of the areas hit would be effected any longer than momentarily, and while it would effective enough to stop an opponent, there are an infinite number of jutsus just as effective at doing so, some of which include the Hand of Waves jutsu, Great Vacuum Cannon jutsu, and the Greak Wind Breakthrough jutsu, the last of which is specifically made to prevent the opponent's movements. Also, because of the wave formation of this jutsu, the Wind Terror jutsu can be mirrored to perfectly counter this jutsu, so... yeah. That, that definitely should work."

*She then tilts her head again, this time to her left, and clasps her hands in front of her pelvis. She then lifts her left heel slightly behind her back as she looks down slightly.*

"Please tell me if I say too much, I wish not to annoy you sensei."

 

[Detective L]

Dean listened to Agnes' reply. She became quite good at this. The Lightning element had always been a bit on the repetitive side, but Ganes made it some what interesting. Her thinking was good, and this made Dean happy. At least he had a student that worked hard in order to become better, and that was a quality that was rare these days. Even in his days, Dean wasn't the best of students. He remembers training Lightning himself, with Castiel. Those were the days. Before getting lost in his thoughts, Dean shook his head, bringing him back to reality. He then looks at Agnes, and smiles.

"Very good, Agnes. Nice analysis of the technique, and well thought out. As you yourself had explained, one can see that even a D rank technique has some great advantages in battle. Especially the fact that it needs no hand seals, and can be done quite quickly, but the fact that it is merely a D rank technique, means it doesn't really carry that punch. As you have covered everything about the technique, I believe we can move on! And you don't talk too much, I enjoy your way of analyzing the technique. Anyway, here is the technique."

"Now, the next technique is the first of the C ranks. This will be the first technique that requires hand seals, so take that into account too. First, you will form the Tiger → Snake → Dog hand seals and manipulate your Lightning based chakra and focus it into your hands. It is then released in the form of an electric current towards the opponent, and is capable of hitting multiple opponents because as it travels, it moves in a wide range towards the opponent. Use it on my clone."

Dean creates a clone that waits for Agnes' offense.

 

[Cabbage]

*Agnes blushes and looks down, something about the Dean's definition has her uncertain.*

"Um, sorry to disappoint you Dean, but when you say electrical current, do you mean a stream of continuous eletricity? If so, does a user only have to create one main surge of electricity, or does this jutsu need continual renewals for proper usage, especially in regards of long-range usage?"

 

[Detective L]

Dean was happy to hear Agnes ask some questions, very few students did these days. All they wanted to do was finish off their training. Dean then smiled as he answered.

"Interesting question, Agnes. It is a continuous stream of lightning, fired from your hand. I think I might have worded it a bit confusing. The stream of lightning, is fired and can be manipulated to avoid obstacles but it stays attached to your hand. Thus it can move up to long range, much like a guided Lightning stream. Here is a diagram."

With the use of an old stick and some art skill, Dean manages to draw a diagram on the ground for Agnes.

*Agnes smiles brightly at Dean, stretching her hands slightly behind her lower back, right palm open in front of her left palm, both opened away from Dean.*

"Thank you for answering my question Dean-sensei, now, if you please, I'll show you how this jutsu is performed."

*She then swings her hands from her back to her front before reaching them up to the front of her chest, looking directly at the clone Dean made earlier. She then performs the Tiger → Snake → Dog handseals before bending her right arm closely to her right side, thus forming a ninety degree angle with her forearm and lower arm. She then begins the first wave, which, surprisingly, quickly accelerated to a second wave, causing a much more significant buzzing sensation to form within her right hand. The third wave causes a far stronger buzzing sensation, creating a few visible bolts to form around her right hand.*

*She then holds it out in front of her, thus changing its angle from ninety degrees to a straight line, with the finger facing forward towards Dean, causing the bolts to consolidate into one beam of electricity about the size of Agnes' palm if it were to face Dean. It travels swiftly towards Dean, being aimed towards Dean's center chest, but she notices that its trajectory is actually approaching a tree, thus her aimed being off by about a foot to her left. She thus makes a slight shift with her right hand to her right, thus shifting the beam away from the tree, and redirects the trajectory back onto Dean. It then strikes Dean, causing him to straighten for a moment from the shock, his arms and legs being stunned for a moment before poofing away. She then pats her hands together and looks back at Dean again, smiling as she finally understood Dean's request.*

"As you can see, this jutsu is quick and adaptable, allowing its trajectory to not be interrupted by jutsus, nor shinobi tools tossed for the purpose of reversing the trajectory of any such jutsu, for example, a shuriken enhanced by the rotating shuriken jutsu. More importantly, it allows a degree of confusion given its brightness as it approaches an opponent. Take, for example, this combination: you first perform the Hidden Mist jutsu, and expel mist around the opponent. You then reflect light throughout the mist, thus causing the opponent to be blinded temporary, and finally take advantage of the blinding light by shifting this jutsu around in the mist, and then striking in an unusual area, such as their groin."

"Now, this jutsu, on top of needing to concentrate Raiton chakra into your hand, needs to have the user perform three hand seals, the Tiger, Snake, and Dog hand seals, in order to properly utilize this jutsu. This inevitably leads to a delay between the hand seals and Raiton concentration, but this jutsu's speed actually makes up for it, as it moves at a greater speed than most other jutsus. And given the fact that it can change trajectory at a whim within reason (it probably cannot spin around the opponent in a clockwise pattern for example), this jutsu is by far the most useful Raiton jutsu I've learned thus far for a main attack. Yet, this jutsu holds a interesting flaw that it shares with streaming Katon jutsus, that it constricts the ability for the user to move fluidly."

"This jutsu depends upon a continual discharge of chakra from the hand at which the jutsu was produced, thus unless if you're skilled enough to produce two different strands of chakra at once (i.e., if you have yin-yang training), you can only produce this jutsu while the beam is still active. Thus, unlike, say, the Thunderburn or Basic jutsu, where they are in use once released from the hand, and then this allows the user freedom to send a complementary jutsu to accompany it. Because of the streaming nature of this jutsu, there's a dependency on other jutsus being used first to increase the effectiveness of this particular jutsus, hence the combination I mentioned earlier. Not only that, but this jutsu can be countered with any large scale Fuuton jutsu, such as the Gale Palm jutsu, or the Great Wind Breakthrough jutsu. Thus, although adaptable in some ways, you lose adaptability in other ways, and thus a user of this jutsu needs to pay proper attention to the battle situation before using this jutsu. Otherwise it can backfire swiftly and without mercy."

*Agnes breathes for a moment.*

"I'm afraid I have yet another question about this jutsu, if I were to release this jutsu before it strikes the opponent, I understand that I lose the movement ability of this jutsu, but would it continue to head towards the opponent? If it would not, would the beam continue to exist for a few moments before the air inevitably dissipates it?"

Her performance of a technique with hand seals was good. She didn't have any trouble stringing them together, making it one of the few instances that a student can easily do this. Nonetheless, Dean enjoyed this training as he knew Agnes would one day become a legend in the element, maybe gain a love for it. This time her analysis was more thorough, not leaving anything for Dean to add. She knew a lot from performing the technique, which was good.

"Awesome! I don't have much to add, I like how you seperated the parts of the jutsu and gave me everything I asked for. As for your question, yes it would indeed dissipate. As you yourself stated, this technique relies on constant chakra fueling and would stop once that fueling has stopped. Basically, if it is interrupted, it will stop. Best used by a clone, then you could use another technique and not be hindered. Here is the technique."

"The next technique is one of a supplementary nature but is actually used offensively too. The technique starts off by focusing a large amount of Lightning chakra to your hands, and then focusing it to release a wave of electricity from your hands towards the opponent. This technique can vary, from a small surge to a powerful stream (just state it before hand). It is capable of ripping through rock, within reason, and can be used in conjunction with water techniques. Remember to just not use it with Water techniques that are attached to you to avoid electrocution. Use it on my clone."

Dean then makes a clone that dashes towards Agnes.

*Agnes smiles, it seemed as if she was at least pleasing Dean. Her hands are swaying unconsciously from front to back while laying by her sides, her back somewhat drooped. She listens intently as Dean explains the next jutsu, throwing the scroll somewhat precariously to the increasingly cluttered stump. Although she may be portraying a more careless disposition at the moment, Agnes still holds much care towards the training... it's just that she was relaxed again, and it's been a bit since she was last this relaxed. Curse the bandits of the Land of Rivers, they never give her a day's break...*

*Dean's clone begins it's dash again, causing Agnes' eyes to narrow, and her smiles to gradually lessen to a slight smirk.*

Dean, this time made a special of using a Suiton jutsu with this new one, and I think I know why, and I also have an idea for the jutsu to use here...

*Agnes, instead of concentrating Raiton chakra immediately, instead concentrates some chakra into both of her palms before clapping them, thus sending it downwards swiftly towards the ground. It then begins to rotate clockwise once before a four inch wall of water begins to form around Agnes about one foot in every direction from Agnes' location, by which time Dean's clone reaches short-range. The wall continues to rotate, climbing up to two feet by the time it reaches the front of Agnes again, and then six feet in the third rotation. By the fourth, it reaches twenty feet in height and ten feet in length, by which time Dean's clone is about ten feet away (given that the rotations increase in speed after the first one). Agnes then releases her hands, bending her elbows to her back, thus causing them to be in ninety degree angles, with her hands facing the wave of water. This causes the wave of water to crash towards Dean's clone, but not necessarily eliminating it because otherwise how can I actually demonstrate this jutsu. Instead, it pushes Dean's clone back, during which time Agnes begins to funnel more chakra into her hands in a series of three waves, quite a bit quicker now that she has learned how to perform such a function to a competent degree. She then holds out her hands, straightening her elbows with her palms facing the ground, and flicks her hands. This causes a moderately powerful wave of electricity to charge towards the wave of water, about the size of two-thirds of the wave's length. It strikes the wave, but barely connects in time, thus electrocuting the clone and now eliminating the clone through the magic of training plot.*

*Agnes now pats down her knees again and pants for a moment.*

The timing was quite bad there, almost didn't make it, and thus I would have failed, and that would be bad, and Guv would laugh... ooooooooohhh... wait, I still have to explain this jutsu to Dean.

*Agnes then smiles, perhaps not as sincerely as before she performed this jutsu, and begins her explanation, her arms dangling perhaps a bit too loosely by her sides.*

"The performance of this jutsu holds many similarities with the Thunderburn and Lightning Surge jutsus, and it is from this comparison that the first part of this explanation will occur. With the Thunderburn jutsu, one creates a wave of electricity by first concentrating chakra into the palm of their dominant hand, and then releases it by waving said palm in front of them, thus allowing a small portion of precision to occur, although not to the degree of the Basic and Electric Attack jutsus, which are a bolt and stream respectively. Meanwhile, the Lightning Surge is performed by first concentrating chakra into both palms, and then slamming them onto the ground, thus causing a wave of electricity to travel alongside the ground, shocking the first object contacted. Where this jutsu differentiates from the former is that, although it, too, is a wave of electricity that travels in the air towards the opponent, it is performed by merely flicking both hands forward, or through a similar motion, and unlike the Thunderburn jutsu, it has much more power to it, thus possibly causing paralysis or numbing at whatever point the apex of this particular jutsu hits. There's really no advantage to using Thunderburn jutsu over this one, as the ease of usage for jutsu, as well as the damage it causes, allows this jutsu to be a more advantageous one, as long as one remembers that both hands must be used for this jutsu to work. Now, the Lightning Surge may have the advantage of being able to travel alongside the ground, thus making it tricky to avoid in certain situation, yet this jutsu can be used in conjunction with Suiton jutsus, thus giving it far more versatility in terms of combos and possibly range."

*Agnes breaths for a moment before continuing.*

"Now, the reason as to why this jutsu is the best to be used in conjunction with Suiton jutsus have to do with the flaws of the previous jutsus thus far. The basic jutsu is incredibly weak and small, and thus would be absorbed by most Suiton jutsus, the Lightning Surge jutsu depends on the ground, which would prevent its combination with many Suiton jutsus, and even with those that would travel alongside the ground would mostly absorb it, the Thunderburn jutsu holds the same weakness as the Basic jutsu, and the Electric Attack jutsu has to be continually streamed, and thus combining it with a Suiton jutsu takes excessive planning. Now, there are some Suiton jutsus that properly combine with this one, one being the Shockwave jutsu for the reason that it's size allows the wide length of this jutsu, which holds most of the power of the jutsu, to properly strike the Shockwave jutsu, and thus combine. Other Suiton jutsus include the Syrup Capture Field, and the Water Pillar jutsus."

"Now, there's a central flaw with this jutsu, and it's hard difficult this jutsu truly is to utilize this jutsu properly. Because the air naturally insulates the power of Raiton jutsus, this jutsu suffers from a gradually weakening of power, thus why it needs to be combined with a Suiton jutsu to be effective. Yet, there are only so many Suiton jutsus to choose from that are C-Rank and many either need water nearby to use, or need physical contact to use. And many of those that don't are quite inappropriate to use with a Raiton jutsu (such as the Black Clouds jutsu). And now comes part two of the difficulty of using this jutsu, timing it so then it can combine with the Suiton jutsu. Perhaps its only joy is its quickness, as many Suiton jutsus will end up going too far away for this jutsu to catch up efficiently, thus causing a one-two hit instead of a more powerful hit. And while shocking a soaked foe is very effective, why not just use the Electric Attack jutsu then to target the opponent's chest, thus probably killing them? Also, this jutsu is hard to aimed properly towards the opponent's legs and lower region, unlike the Electric Attack jutsu, given the characteristics of electric waves and how they tend to not bend."

*Agnes then blushes again.*

"... I spoke for too long again, didn't I?"

This time Agnes gave her best response yet, analyzing the technique and always leaving Dean with nothing to add. Being the guy he is, he wouldn't admit it, but Agnes was better than he was back in the day. He was quite a lazy bastard when he was taught, but through practice he became better. How good would Agnes become if she was already so good now? Only time could tell.

"Awesome once again, Agnes! I love your responses, and there is nothing as talking too long. If you feel you should express yourself like that, then it's good. Nonetheless, here you go."

Description: This jutsu allows the user to create a wave of electricity from the user's hands. This jutsu can vary in power from a small surge to shock an opponent to a powerful stream of lightning capable of ripping through solid rock. It is ideal to use in conjunction with a water jutsu.

"Okay, now for the next technique. It's quite simple due to the fact that no hand seals are required and that it can be done quite fast. Through focusing Lightning chakra, you envelop yourself in a Lightning armor that can electrocute anyone that comes into contact with it. Downside is that it can only be used for one attack, so it can't be sustained like the famous Lightning armor of the Raikage. It also has a short range reach, so it's best used to destroy something that emerges from the ground or an opponent in close range. Use it on my clone."

*Dean seemed slightly different now, from his more deadly serious self to a more colloquial person. She smiled, as she rather liked it when people weren't forcing a fake verisimilitude down her throat. The next jutsu was a lightning armour jutsu. Very interesting to say the least, although Dean mentioned that it was weaker than the armours of the Third and Fourth Raikages who are both called A, thus making truly differentiating them more difficult, as it wasn't continual, only working once per usage of the jutsu itself. After that, it loses its potency. She begins to think about the implementation of this jutsu, and notes a similarity...*

This jutsu holds a similar methodology as that of the water replacement jutsu, in that you change a portion of your body to resemble the element in which you concentrate chakra. However, the Water Replacement changes your body internally, while this jutsu seems to cause an external change. Thus, by concentrating the chakra in a similar method as before, but rather throughout your entire body, it would create an armour of lightning.

*As Dean's clone begins his dash towards Agnes, she holds her palms together in front of her chest, about three inches out in front of it, her elbows and knees bent, her eyes darted and eyelids narrowed. She initiates an initial wave of chakra throughout her entire body, starting from her deep chest, and then sending it throughout her chakra network. The second wave arrives at a similar pace, but the total pace is slower than if she would concentrate chakra in only one small portion of her body. The third wave arrives as Dean's clone is direcly four feet in front of her, causing sparks of electricity to appear, covering her entire body with a thin layer of electricity. Dean's clone conveniently throws a punch at her chest, thus causing him to be electrocuted, his entire body growing stiff. He thus poofs, and causes the sparks surrounding her body to disappear.*

*She stands back up, loosening her legs and arms. Her smile is only slight though, as she thought that this jutsu is flawed.*

"This jutsu holds a similar implementation as the Water Replacement jutsu, in that you utilize an element in order to change an aspect of your body. The Water Replacement jutsu, though, causes an internal change within your body, turning it into water. This, in turn, causes you to become weak to both Raiton, and, ironically, Katon, as Raiton will cause your body to be instantaneously electrocuted, while Katon will literally evaporate away your body. This jutsu, meanwhile, causes an external change to your body, creating a thin layer of electricity to cover your body. This doesn't cause your body to gain any new weaknesses, nor does it limit your mobility."

"Now, this jutsu, in theory, can be used to stop a Taijutsu attack, thus perfectly countering most regimes of it. However, similarly to the Electromagnetic Murder jutsu, it holds a time lag between the time the chakra is created and the creation of the armour. The problem is that this reduces its effectiveness for countering Taijutsu, as the body flashes brightly as this jutsu is used, making the opponent stop the Taijutsu instead of connecting the attack. And while this isn't the worse disadvantage per se, it does change the dynamic of the fight towards a more ranged battle. Thus, when you use this jutsu for this purpose, keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that this jutsu has a time lag, thus making it less instantaneous than the Lightning Release jutsu. This makes it less useful for tight Taijutsu fights, as your chakra concentration may be continually interrupted."

"Now, this jutsu is actually effective in certain scenarios, as it is a perfect counter for Doton spikes, pillars, or other such obstacles that penetrate shinobi. Because Doton is a slow element, a skilled shinobi may be able to swiftly create an armour of electricity, which then obliterates the Doton jutsu. And because it only used once before it disappears, you can then swiftly move onto another jutsu or other attack, thus serving as a very offensive friendly defensive move, as you can move swiftly to turn the battle around towards the opponent's disadvantage. However, I have a quick question before we continue Dean-sensei. Because of how swiftly my armour was eliminated, may I ask if this jutsu would disrupt your vision in anyway?"

Dean merely smiled as he was left without words to say. He had considered speeding up the training, but he thought he could do it at a later stage. Right now, he was still evaluating Agnes, but she was clearly passing. She seemed to understand the element quite well, yet she still had a question, what an odd girl.

"Well done, Agnes. As for your question, no it does not hinder your sight. It is dangerous at times though, like any Lightning technique, Water can cause you to electrocute yourself. Anyway, here is the technique."

"Okay, the next technique is very terrain based, which is an advantage and disadvantage. First, start off by forming the Snake → Upside down Tiger and clap your hands together. Once done, you will release a wave of electricity towards a nearby cliff or cave, and this causes the rocks or stones to dislodge. This basically causes the whole structure to collapse, and damage anyone caught in the falling rubble. A nice technique, but it does require the opponent to be close to a cliff or a rock formation. Use it on that cliff formation over there, and let the rubble fall on my clone, killing him."

Dean then creates a clone that stands under a large cliff, reading a book.
