kurama pierced him with a claw. im sure thats possible when controlled as well. or with obito's bigass rinnegan stakes that he spits out of kamui dimension. and minato had no choice but to die since it was the only way he could seal something so big. replace kurama with mazo and same thing happens. minato dies to prevent juubi's revival, obito stabs him mid sealing
