Emm, basically these series usually have a fair few episodes based off of the original story, but with redubbed voices. ... whilst mocking it, a parody of sorts, at least thats the best description i can come up with.

but as for the meaning of Abriged itself its something like to shorten or condense something, Look it up? but i am fairly certain i am right.

so its just a wierd knock off of the original

Hmm, i wouldn't say a knock off but i guess and either way some abridged series are hilarious, like the yu-gi-oh abridged i couldn't stop laughing at some points.

it was to wierd and confusing and pple didnt die O_O

I watched far too much of the actual series when i was younger but the abridged is just to make you laugh not for a story,
