Re: Genjutsu training with Reborn
I see you barely know any...
The Four main ways in which you break a genjutsu are as follows:
Genjutsu Kai: Genjutsu kai is the most basic method of releasing genjutsu. Told within the series this consists of the user, after knowing that they are indeed within a genjutsu they will make a hand seal and momentarily halt or drastically slow down their flow of chakra. Then, in a sudden burst which is used to re-establish your flow, the foreign chakra that was obstructing yours and causing the genjutsu will be forced out of you. On the base you are capable of using this technique to release you from pretty much any level of technique provided you have the mobility to make a hand seal and you have the appropriate rank and skill to release the level of genjutsu you were put under.
~C-ranked Genjutsu and below can be released by your rank, Jounin
~B-ranked Genjutsu and below can be released by S-class Ninja
~A-ranked Genjutsu and below can be released by Sannin
~S-ranked Genjutsu and below can be released by Sage (unofficial/official)
Pain: Pain is a method used to disrupt genjutsu by returning your senses to reality. You disrupt the balance of reality and fiction when you use a genjutsu and by inflicting real, physical pain upon yourself you can return to reality thereby relinquishing the foreign chakra inside you causing the genjutsu. Now in order for this method to work, however, you need enough pain on the outside to be able to rattle your senses and break the genjutsu and that is all dependent on the level of genjutsu you are put under. The weaker the genjutsu the less amount of pain you need to inflict and the stronger a genjutsu the more you need to. That is why, this method is not the best way to deal with every genjutsu. When dealing with the highest class of genjutsu you will be faced with having to deal so much physical damage to yourself there will almost certainly be a hindrance. For specific amounts of pain you need to incur for genjutsu you can go to the thread I linked you earlier from the base and read them for yourself.
External Chakra Kai: You covered this briefly when you talked with the Jinchuuriki. However you don't know why a Bijuu can release somebody from genjutsu. Think back to when Naruto, Kakashi, Sakura, and Chiyo fought against Itachi. What did Chiyo say about releasing genjutsu? If you have a comrade on the field somebody they can use their chakra, insert it into you and force out the foreign chakra that is causing the genjutsu. In our RP this means anybody with a chakra source and a cognitive ability to channel chakra into you: this can be clones, summoning animals, sentient or pseudo sentient weapons like Samehada, or Bijuu. Bijuu are life forms with separate chakra from the user. Think of it as just a comrade living inside you so if you are infected with genjutsu, they can use their chakra to release you just like any other comrade.
Full Body Surge: Finally, this method was coined within our RP. As you progress in learning the other elements like earth and lightning and even come across learning customs you will learn of this method. Full Body surges refer to actual techniques that release chakra from every chakra point in your body. If you are familiar with the technique Neji Hyuuga used against one of the Whit Zetsu: Full Body Blow. That is an example of a full body surge method. He released raw chakra from every point in his body that attacked his opponent. In the canon there are other techniques like this, in the regard that they release chakra from every point. How this helps is; while you're in a genjutsu you still have the capability to manipulate your chakra abeilt you may be stalled for a moment when the genjutsu is taking affect, nevertheless you can still manipulate your chakra. Therefore you have the ability to use techniques. The Full Body Surge method is similar to Genjutsu Kai in the sense that you're using a burst of chakra to release yourself from the genjutsu. However, you are not stopping or slowing down your chakra flow with this method, you are simply forcing a higher degree of chakra through your body to override the foreign chakra afflicting you. You will use the technique and in using that technique you force out the foreign genjutsu chakra. However in order for you to use this method effectively 1 condition must be met and that is; the level of the technique you use to release the genjutsu must be of a higher rank/power than the genjutsu itself. Depending on the type of chakra you use, the conditions for HOW strong will vary.
~Elemental chakra Surges Must be 1-rank Higher than the genjutsu you are under
~Raw chakra (non-elemental) surges must be 2-ranks higher than the genjutsu you are under
Now then...do you have any questions?
