I would mirror that back at you.
Anyway, you still don't understand - and don't besmear this with psychological theory, because it's just that; multiple paradigms of which none can account for all scenarios and actions, believe me, I've studied it and critique sees that too. Not everyone has a ring of support, and not everyone is abused or mistreated. Some people are in a situation where they have neither and that can lead a whole new kettle of fish to unfold, one that is seldom understood by anyone, including you.
There are some in the world who have to define themselves, or some with a capacity enough to know that by not defining themselves, they would regress and/or, be stunted. The world is not so black and white as you seem to see it. Even I, have faced situations that most people never face in their lifetimes, and others that the average person would never face for many, many years.
You see, some people have a naturally deep and vast insight paired with empathy to match. That inevitably breeds a different kind of person from the norm.
Yes, a person will inevitably gather more experiences over time but no, that does not alone decide how experienced the person is. It is the number of experiences that fill one section of time. Some people go through life having experienced very little and grow old still nearly as green as the grass. For some people, it's not other people who define them, it's their experiences; whether or not that is done by them on purpose or not, is unimportant.
