@Kurokami Other genjutsus wouldn't be useful since Deva could most likely break out of it with the rinnegan, not to mention Nagato has mastered Yin-Yang release at the age of 10 which are the basics of genjutsu(Not sure which one) and Nagato uses most of his jutsus through Deva Path like for the akatsuki meetings/the rain on amegakure/ sealing bijuus and at the very least another path could free him out of it.

Even if Itachi is able to take down Deva, he won't have enough stamina to deal with Animal Path, and Naraka could just revive Deva back.

He could just free his paths as he is the one giving them chakra in the first place, he can just disrupt it. But Rinnegan isn't the reason why Genjutsu is useless in this fight.

This is how I would have replied to you ToruneNamikaze, the Rinnegan isn't immune to genjutsu. But Nagato has mulitple ways to free himself from genjutsu with all 6 paths. And Naraka is very key in this battle IMO, I don't think Itachi fans realize this.

you can dispel genjutsu if your partner disturbed your chakra flow.

Nagato controls the bodies via chakra transmitters, he can easily cut the flow and dispel the genjutsu.

It's very silly people think that Pain can be trapped in a ocular genjutsu.

Only Sharingan is a tool used for breaking Ocular Genjutsu. Not Rinnegan.
