Itachi has other powerful genjutsu than just Tsukuyomi. I'd say Itachi could at least take on Deva by himself.

Well Itachi would have to use genjutsu on 6 different opponents, he has to be able to disable all the Paths from interfering and then get rid of Pain trapped in genjutsu, he can't trap multiple opponents. There's also the Path that can revive the other ones but Itachi doesn't know that.

No. Pain has CT or CST as a last resort with the latter being a KO for Itachi. If he uses CT Itachi can't win and Itachi isn't that much stronger than Pain that he can take him out before he feels threatened to use it.

People seem to think tsukuyomi is Itachi's only genjutsu. Also Itachi has a variety of fire, shuriken, and clone jutsu. A clone explosion can get rid of at least one path before Pain realizes that Itachi's clones can do that. The shackle genjutau that Itachi used on oro can give him time to kill a path. Jusg because you have a dojutsu doesn't mean you are immune to visual genjutsu. Like zetsu said, it depends on your skill.
Ama gets rid of the dog summon and Itachi can handle all the others as shown. Multiple magatama can destroy CT's core. If all else fails, ama can take out all the paths except deva (if he pushes it off fast enough) or possibly preta if he can absorb it. Nonetheless, it would be a difficult and chakra taxing battle for both.

@Kurokami Other genjutsus wouldn't be useful since Deva could most likely break out of it with the rinnegan, not to mention Nagato has mastered Yin-Yang release at the age of 10 which are the basics of genjutsu(Not sure which one) and Nagato uses most of his jutsus through Deva Path like for the akatsuki meetings/the rain on amegakure/ sealing bijuus and at the very least another path could free him out of it.

He could just free his paths as he is the one giving them chakra in the first place, he can just disrupt it. But Rinnegan isn't the reason why Genjutsu is useless in this fight.

Six paths could win. Itachi will be dead by the time he takes down 4. Genjutsu is Pain's weakness but, only sound will affect him. Obviously Itachi's genjutsu won't work.
