but the sharingans have been around since the first great shinobi war, and an ancient like chiyo knew the general information about it. Surely the third raikage, being the most informed member of his village would know the basics of combating a sharingan.
Well I have read your posts so far and I can't decide whether you are being an irrational hater or you just vastly underestimate Itachi.
I believe earlier you agreed to the statement that Ino could possibly beat Itachi, which is ridiculous. The only info that would help Ino defeat Itachi is the info on where he sleeps.
To the bolded part, why do you assume that the raikage would be the most informed person in the village? That is not a prerequisite for the position of kage. I can't picture A being the most informed person in Kumo, and I'm pretty sure he is exactly like his dad (basically a weaker version).
And along with that same argument it is pointless, you mentioned Chiyo knowing about the sharingan, what did she say to do if you find yourself one vs. one against a sharingan user? TO RUN, because otherwise you would be trapped in a genjutsu, and that is even more true for Itachi who is possibly the greatest genjutsu user in the manga. (He is by feats that we have seen at least)
Also being informed can only help so much, kakashi fought Itachi, and kakashi knows as much as the sharingan as basically anyone other than an Uchiha, and guess what? He got beaten extremely easily. And Guy's method of not looking at his eyes would be useless against Itachi's genjutsu since he can cast regular genjutsu with other body parts as well.
(Also that is by far the most idiotic strategy I have ever heard, Might Guy is an idiot. If you only watch their feet, how are you supposed to keep track of anything at eye level or above? It is impossible. So if Itachi were to use Amaterasu and someone was looking at his feet, then they would never see it coming, so it is an autoloss for that person. Naruto came up with a better idea of just not looking at his eyes, which still doesn't help against the regular genjutsu.)
And lastly, earlier you made a sarcastic statement that went something like "Itachi's regular genjutsu is enough to fight people like blah blah blah, etc."
Well it actually is. How many fights has Itachi been in? And how many has he started off with regular genjutsu? And the board says- all of them. And how many people were able to break the genjutsu before something bad happened to them?
Kakashi-No
Kurenai-No
Orochimaru-No
Deidara-No
Naruto - not really, he was broken out of it by others not himself
Sasuke- part 1 no, part 2 yes but again he didn't see through the last one.
Killer Bee - yes, because he is a perfect jinchurikki (which wouldn't help against his Tsukuyomi, Sasuke's yes but not Itachi's)
So my whole point is that Itachi can catch anyone with any genjutsu except for Bee, who he can catch with Tsukuyomi if he needed to. And on top of that you probably didn't read my reasoning of why the third couldn't hit Itachi, but Itachi's Susanoo has the Yata mirror, so the third raikage's attacks would be completely useless. He could do nothing other than wait for Itachi to kill him or genjutsu him into killing himself.
Please post a good counter argument if you have any. If not at least tell me how you think the third raikage could hit Itachi. How?
