So? Our defence is good, so I don't see us getting "battered" as you would say. :lol
Bale made it clear that he is a far better player than Ronaldo is. He can actually carry a team.

Wait..... i just read an article that said 3rd place can still progress to the next round ? can someone confirm this ?
The 4 (of the 6) best thirds of each group go to the next round as they need to have 16 teams for the 16th finals. If there are teams with equal points, the goal difference is decisive. Northern-Ireland and Slovakia are already through to the next round as best thirds, so two spots remain. Not really sure yet how todays results have affected the standings.

Croatia have the edge.. luck is just not with Portuguese in this tournament i mean what are the odds conceding two deflected goal in a row ? LOL
Seems like I missed on the exact results, but I nailed Ronaldo scoring 2 goals (which actually was a bet I won on as well) and Iceland winning. The ongoing two should be interesting as well.
Yup I said so earlier as well, Portugal has had more misfortune than any team I've ever seen. Once? Okay, sure. Two games? A bit of a stretch but we'll let it slide. But in 3 games in a row?! How is that even possible. This game was definitely like a game of FIFA, so ridicules that it was almost unbelievable xd Entertaining but absurd. With Ronaldo finding back to the goal again, they have all the chance in the world at reaching the final. I would say that getting 3rd instead of 2nd was benefiting for Portugal to avoide all the big guns up until the final – that is if they can beat Croatia (Round of 16), Poland/Switzerland (Quarter-Final) and Wales/Hungary/Belgium/Sweden/Northern Ireland ( Semi-Final).
With that in mind, I would love to see Portugal (Ronaldo) vs Wales (Bale) in a potential Semi-Final 8)
