WTF ppl? What so wrong with me liking the new chapter?
It's art is awesome, Mine and Budo went out in a cool way unlike the anime and Esdeath had her ass handed to her. Not to mention that Incursio poison and possibility Tatsumi will get taken over by Encursio wich could be just a fan fic but the eye cliffhanger may point to that direction.
Also my name is not THC but TCHmaster. TCH stands for The Core Hunters wich is the name of a fan made Yu-Gi-Oh! spin-off manga I'm making. Save the weed jokes for when you actually know what you're talking about.

What do you mean with the fusion thing? I like the concept too ever since I was a kid with all that Digimon, YGO etc material.

Is AgK having a sequel? Anyway, the chapter was better than some of the previous chapters......
Honestly tho', I'm not sure why people dislike the latest chapter that much. Budo was nerfed as hell and still went out like a badass. Imo he lived up to his hype. Esdeath for once wasn't portrayed as God. Leone got fodderized as always. I personally didn't mind Mine's power up especially considering Pumpkin was destroyed and she pretty much dead. Tatsumi's power up was bs doe. "Omg muh nakama ded ;(" is all he needs to borderline rape everyone?
So basically besides Tatsumi and arguably Mine, the chapter was relatively good compared to the previous ones imo.

It's a shonen manga. Ofc there'll be nakama power up. :/ We can however interpret it as Encursio running on determination and will just like pumpkin so the angrier Tatsumi is the stronger Encursio will become or something like that. So AgK is actually keeping a low profile in the power-up area.

True. Mine beating Budo made more sense in the manga than the anime, since he was already weakened from all the previous fighting. There's always going to be nakama powerups, although the best mangas don't have much of them.

Don't forget that Budo mentioned the lack of recent fighting experience or w/e.
Also, nakama powerups sort of help differentiate between the good guys and the bad guys - like, the readers need to see that good guys care about the others a lot, while bad guys don't, etc. They don't bother me as much, unless they happen all the time.
I guess that most people who were disappointed with AgK used to have high expectations for it. And sure, it has some flaws like lacking character development (many died too soon)/story depth/interesting subplots and too much in-your-face "look, teh empire is bad omg" which left little room for moral ambiguity. However, I personally expected it to be mostly about epic fights and well, it still delivers in this regard. I was never really hoping for any depth in it, so I can enjoy it as it is (not too much though). My Ran obsession is mostly a side effect.

Never chapter was bad. Just didn't seem as bad as the previous because we're already used to Budo being deconstructed as a threat and being turned into a comedy relief character you can't take seriously. Nothing about his death was badass either. He just made a dumb, incompetent mistake and got killed for it all while his expression and reaction were filled with terror in them.
