Edit: watched the episode (Ran's parts) like.

Why were Divine Wings blue? And, er, aren't they supposed to be like a forcefield or something instead of... whatever the heck that was? Ran's info-dumping and reasoning were awkward as hell, too. That's what you get when a character is so out of place.

And that damn "Here come the Jaegers, maaan", seriously I can't watch parts with it without giggling uncontrollably.

Gomenasai AgK FC, my name is Ken-Sama.

I’m a 27 year old American Otaku (Anime fan for you gaijins). I draw Anime and Manga on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior Japanese games. (Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Persona series)

I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.

I speak Japanese fluently, both Kanji and the Osaka dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Japanese history and their bushido code, which I follow 100%

When I get my Japanese visa, I am moving to Tokyo to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Studio Ghibli or a game designer!

I own several kimonos, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Japan, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Japanese as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

I thought it was funny. It just seems awkward at the moments like the shoehorning of Ran's backstory, but I presume it's due to knowing how it went in the manga.

Honestly guys. The anime is dead for me, the only thing which will keep me connected to the story is the manga and it's brilliance. The Anime was a disappointment, as it didn't even include the special power up of Incursio, it just became gold with wings. I am simply done and done with the anime.

But damn why does everyone here hate the anime so much? Sure it didn't live up to the hype but it's not like it's total shit. The Kurome ep and this one were awesome in both animation and art. Usually when anime staff gets news of their season 2 being cancelled the results are pure crap. This one stayed decent, not as an adaptation, but more like something that should be viewed as a stand alone since the anime only viewers liked it a lot.

Well, the anime is still pretty rushed even if you view it separately from the manga. Some characters' presence there seems pretty pointless due to very little screen time, no development etc. I get the reasons behind it, and I don't actually hate it, but it is still pretty flawed.

Then again, I've never loved the manga too much to begin with. I like it, but not fanatically or anything. I wasn't all hyped for the anime either since I don't usually watch any anime. Yes, I do love Ran but it's pretty much unconditional love which is separate from my opinion about the rest of AgK.
