Taking an alternate router isn't necessarily a bad thing in general. The first FMA anime made less sense and wasn't as well rounded as the manga but it was pretty decent. Too bad it's not the case here.

It doesn't make sense though, if they were gonna do an alternative route why not start it off from the beginning that way? Why did we have to watch them "recreate" all of the stuff from the beginning badly.

They clearly see it's failing and decided to change it so people will watch. I got to admit, I don't like the AGK authors Taka or whatever. They make the worst mistake a artist can do, trying to please others too much. If you try to please people you end up pleasing no one.
