I disagree with that great tier ranking though. Those people aren't even villains, they're victims of life. That would put every henchman ever as a great tier villain. People just doing there jobs.
Bors is a great tier with that system, and he wasn't a good villain. Good character though. Like they have Mr. freeze as an example, batman would literally ask that dude for help on multiple occasions.

I still don't see it, Fidd. You are looking to deeply into the love thing when what you stated wasn't really established. Esdeath's love for Tatsumi is just a tool for creating a harem-like situation, it isn't anything more deeper than that. It's described as an animal instict by PM that the majority of humanity have, which Esdeath clearly accepts as a solid reasoning. And that's it. You can clearly see that she has no intention of keeping him if she is rejected. She even goes as far to sentence him to death for rejection. Her love for Tatsumi is just simple lust.
And like I said, her driving force is that of a warrior's. On a battlefield, all you can do is kill or be killed. That's all there it is to it. She doesn't have a disregard for humanity as much as you think she is, given that she gives Suu the honor of having him die a warrior's death and be acknowledged as human. Her sadism is just a quirk, nothing much. There's no actual depth to it. She just loves torturing people. That's been pretty much established.
I might have gone too far when I said she's shitty, considering she isn't really different from any other AgK character other than a handful of them which I'd say are Kurome, Seryu, Syura, Tatsumi and well, possibly Suu.
As for the Sasuke thing, I can't really grasp the full reasoning behind your statements. It's true that, in the past, Sasuke didn't quite understand the weights of his actions and snapped a few times. Don't get me wrong, Sasuke is insane to a level, but not overly insane. Seryu is what I would call overly insane, not really Sasuke.
He developed and he seems to have grasped the workings of the shinobi world just fine, because his current reasoning is pretty spot on. He will continue on with Itachi's wishes, but not exactly in Itachi's ways. If he gives them a common enemy, the villages will re-unite just like they did against Akatsuki and Madara because of the growing fear of getting annihilated by Sasuke otherwise even though Sasuke won't really try to annihilate them.
Like I said, his motives are pretty clear to us, the readers. Nor is he overly insane. I don't really think that the meh tier description applies to him.

In comparison to the most of the cast, including Itachi? He is indeed amazing.

@AC: I'm just calling it like I see it, Esdeath has only known the cold aspect of life, that's why she wanted to try love. She only stopped pursuing Tatsumi because she saw she didn't have a chance. I actually liked that they didn't make her the typical shonen female and have her chase a guy who doesn't want her.
I simply look at things for what they are. I understand that at this stage in my life I won't see anything mind blowing in anime or manga, so the sadism concept or setting up a harem isn't appealing to me. AGK is just putting their own take on what has already been done, like every other series I've ever seen the last two years. But Esdeath is a good villain in my opinion, as well as the majority of the AGK fan base's opinion as well.
As for sasuke there's just too much parallel happening with him and the past uchiha. You can literally make anything sound logical if you're smart, which sasuke is. But becoming hate makes him a meh teir villain for me, look up the definition of hate. It might work at first, but eventually Sasuke will become even more distant than he is already from humanity. Eventually he'll just decide to wipe out the world.

At first I didn't like Sasuke, then I did, then I stopped, then I liked him again, and then I lost track U_U
Though as of now it seems like I've left all Naruto characters behind somehow.

It's so strange how I've been in the Naruto fandom for seven years but I don't really feel anything about the fact that it's ending. It's also strange how I've never written a single Naruto fanfic (not counting a couple of troll/parody fic attempts) and hardly drew any fanart.
I suppose that's because I immediately started finding other manga series that I liked more, but I mostly hang around Naruto communities since they tended to be the most active.
