Those weren't really that big of a stretch. Pumpkin's capability of getting nakama power ups has been established since like the first 5 chapters. Wave's whole fighting style is about CQC. Author said Incursio evolves when the user is in Natsu mode when Tatsumi used Incursio for the first time plus Tatsumi ran away from Izou and used invisibility to distract Syura, who had no intel on it, for a second.
It's a manga. Author writes it. Characters DO NOT have feelings or anything of the sort unless the author applies them in said situation. Wave who has shown to make a lot of mistakes in the past absolutely had NO troubles evading Mine's attacks, but Budo who is MUCH more experienced than Wave when it comes to battle since he has seen 20 more years of combat than Wave has and hasn't made a single mistake yet is uncapable of doing the same thing as Wave even though his stats and battle adaptiveness are much more greater than Wave's or Kurome's.
Yeah, but it was a stupid reasoning, just because it was established doesn't make it any more ****ing stupid, like what the **** lol.
That is not an excuse. This was just down right shitty. The Nakama shit works against someone only a bit stronger like Seryu or Wave, but Budo? No. Mine is someone who is supposed to be a lot weaker than Budo or Esdeath in term of strenght. Yet she shitted on Budo and is being on par with Esdeath.
Even Budo is capable of making a mistake. Everyone is.
But yet Wave and Kurome aren't capable of making such a dumb mistake? He has over 30 years of battle combat, not 0 years.
They ARE robots. Every last one of them is a work of fiction that can be as powerful or as robotic as the author wants them to be. The author chooses how he wants to make his characters like. And he chose for Budo to be the strong, competent general type of guy. Wave is a bit incompetent, yet not even he made a dumb ''mistake'' like Budo did.
He did, for this one moment. He'll be back.
You know, even the most experienced surgeon can still make a mistake and fail surgery.
