Well I guess characters like Seryuu and Kurome aren't actually villains, they're more like tools and victims. Which is sad I suppose.

Shura, Esdeath, the Minister, Wild Hunt these people are actually villains. They understand life and don't care for it. Kurome and Seryuu care for life, but they're victims to their environment.

Yeah, Kishi is a little more blatant in his writing though which kills characters, but he also does the art too so I can't blame em.

Since Taka solely focuses on writing it's portrayed more artistically in characters like Kurome and Seryuu I think.
