I wonder why Ran was looking so serious here and what did he meant by ''That's not it..''. I read a minor theory on some other forum that he sensed the killing intent or presence of a Wild Hunt member which were introduced just before that and that he has some kind of a connection with them.​

Night Raid would have recognised him if he was from the Revolutionary. We have a third party here. And it may be Budou.

Ran could be working for Budou as a spy .

Why did Ogre get foddered so easily though? He was being hyped to be a formidable opponent hence why he was of such a high rank and authority. (

This is just like how Mizuki got fodderized by Academy Naruto despite being a Chuunin who was hyped at being much stronger than genins let alone academy students.

Yeah that's true, unless najenda is in on it and is protecting his cover? She seems to be the only one in night raid who communicates with the RA but Idk.

Also that's true, we know nothing about Budou.

I wanna know why ran wants to kill Esdese. What if he's a spy from the revolutionary army to take down the empire? That would be cool, he did say it was his "job" to kill her.

Nah, he said that killing Esdeath isn't his objective. He just thinks it would be interesting. Unless I missed a panel.​

He's so close to the prime minister now, that'd make Night Raid's existence kind of pointless (._. )
He could've just conquered the empire when Shura was still travelling and Esdeath was in the North...
