    So I just finished watching Akame ga kill anime.

    Yeah the anime has finished the story while the manga is still going (it's behind). Anime also skipped 2 arcs (Ran had an arc and Su had another arc, where he died differently). The anime has followed the manga, but it skips things. I recommend reading manga from the beginning, you can skim it...

    Do you think this manga is better than Akame ga Kill?

    Manga was better, by a large margin at that. Anime seemed disjointed and things hardly made sense, while the manga keep it more clear, then again this disjointed-ness is probably due to the anime skipping things and trying to connect it back to the manga which didn't skip things.

    Anime skipped a lot of things and tried to reattach them to the manga story line, as a result the story seemed rushed and disjointed imo. Manga was/is better than the anime imo.
