I agree with Genrou. Taking the ANBU filler arc into account, Kakashi definitely wouldn't have had the same kind of leadership role and impact on Naruto that he had if he hadn't sorted out his own issues first.

Power is rarely among my reasons for a character being my favorite. I choose based on their actions, thoughts, and just characterization in general. Although often times I find myself justifying/debating that they are powerful against other people's favorites, or ones that I don't like :p
