Tatsuya is a tall, well-built young man with brown hair and brown eyes. He is frequently seen in a highschool uniform, consisting of a black jacket and black pants adorned with white stripes, and wears matching sneakers. Additionally, he wears a white shirt and a sky blue necktie. A black watch can be seen on his left arm, and he has a belt buckle with a lion on it.

Personality

Tatsuya is a fairly passive individual with a brooding figure. He isn't all that talkative, and usually keeps to himself. However, around those he can call his friends, he's a lot more open and sometimes even energetic. When he gets like that, he often jokes around and quickly becomes a very likable individual.

One thing about Tatsuya that makes people look up to him are his strong morals and loyalty to those he loves. Combining that with his strong will, Tatsuya is nothing short of a natural born leader who people can depend on.

Something uncommon that Tatsuya enjoys is riding around on his motorcycle, as it gives him a sort of feeling of liberation. When he isn't riding it, he's often times tuning it up.

Background Info

History:

Part I: "The Errors of Their Youth"

Tatsuya was born in the outskirts of Konohagakure. He lived a regular, average life until one fateful day where it would change forever.

When Tatsuya was around 4 years old, a small festival was being held in the neighborhood which he lived in. His parents had asked his older brother Katsuya to bring him to it, and look after him for the day. After he bought Tatsuya a red mask from one of the booths at the festival, his brother got tired of watching him and wanted to enjoy the festival himself, so he left Tatsuya to play in a small park in front of a shrine.

A few minutes after Katsuya had left, two more boys wearing masks bought at the festival showed up in front of the shrine. Instead of telling each other their real names, they gave secret codenames in accordance with the color of their masks. Tatsuya's mask was red, so he was called "Red Eagle". The other two were called "Black Hawk" and "Yellow Owl". The three boys played together for awhile, before being joined by a girl in a pink mask, who they gave a the codename "Pink Azas" to.

After playing for a long time, the sun started to come down. Knowing they'd have to go home soon, Black Hawk suggested they form a group together called the "Masked Circle". They decided to come to the shrine every few day to play together, and to never take their masks off.

They kept coming to the shrine every few days, and eventually became the best of friends. And yet, they never took off their maks.

One day, when they came to the shrine, a girl was there. They befriended her, and started calling her "Big Sis", as she was a few years older than them. They asked her to join the Masked Circle, and she accepted. They gave her a blue mask and the name "Blue Swan". They began to grow very fond of her.

Weeks went by, and they continued to meet at the shrine and play together. But one day, the older girl announced to the kids that she was moving away, that same day. She couldn't bring herself to tell them earlier that she was moving, because she was having so much fun playing with them. This greatly upset the kids, who didn't fully comprehend why she was leaving. Tatsuya was the only one who could accept that she had to go, even though he was still sad. Suddenly, Pink Azas decided that if they locked her in the shrine until tomorrow, she wouldn't be able to go and could stay with them forever.

Tatsuya was the only one who protested, so the rest of the kids decided to lock him inside along with Big Sis. They could do nothing but comply, and sat alone inside the shrine while they barred the doors. The other kids ran away, unsure how to cope with what they had just done.

Suddenly, a strange man showed up infront of the shrine. It turns out he was Tatsuya Sudou, a psycopath who had been locked away in a mental institute, and had escaped. On some kind of rampage, he set the shrine on fire, with Tatsuya and Big Sis still in it.

Somehow, Big Sis was able to use Suiton, without ever using any kind of ninjutsu before, to protect herself and Tatsuya from the fire. The two managed to break out the door, where they came face to face with Sudou. In his madness, he called Big Sis a witch, and rushed at her with a kunai.

By chance, Tatsuya too was able to use ninjutsu in his moment of need. He managed to burn Sudou's face with Katon, effectively preventing him from hurting Big Sis. The two kids ran out of the area and were safe. However, Tatsuya and Big Sis got separated in the forest, and couldn't find each other.

It was at that point where Black Hawk returned to the shrine. Upon seeing it in flames, he imeadiately thought that Big Sis had been killed. Unable to understand why this had happened, his mind began to warp, and his memories of the events that had taken place had been altered. He imagined that he was the one who protested to lock Big Sis in the shrine, and that the other kids were the ones who set it on fire. At that moment, some strange power was unleashed from inside him, against his will. Somehow, he cast a widespread genjutsu over the area, affecting the other members of the Masked Circle. It caused them to forget everything that had happened since the day of the festival.

Black Hawk, his mind warped by altered memories of what happened, resolved to one day avenge Big Sister's death, and end the world along with it.

Part II: "Innocent Sin"

Tatsuya graduated from the Academy at the age of 12, with slightly above-average results. His older brother Katsuya, who graduated at the age of 10 at the top of his class, often scolded Tatsuya about this. He claimed that if Tatsuya put in more effort, he would have been able to graduate 2 years sooner. Tatsuya would just shrug him off, as he didn't have any motivation to put in that much effort.

He continued training as a shinobi, and managed to become a Jounin at age 17. By this time, he was in a three-man cell with fellow Academy graduates Eikichi Mishina and Lisa Silverman.

Shortly after Tatsuya turned 17, a bizarre string of rumors began to circulate around Konoha. Apparently, if you were to write a letter with a wish on it and leave it under your pillow at night, someone known as "Joker" would come and grant the wish for you. But, if the wish in the letter isn't something that your heart truly desires, you would be stripped of your chakra and left to fade away slowly.

One day, Eikichi went over to a friend's house, only to find him bedridden and completely devoid of any kind of emotion. He kept mumbling about how he'll never achieve his dreams or have a future. Eikichi noticed that under his pillow was a letter, with a wish written in it. It read "Dear Joker, I want to be the richest man in Konoha so I can buy everything I want and can be happy". Under his message, written in what appeared to be blood, was the word "PUNISHMENT".

The same day, Eikichi contacted Tatsuya and Lisa to tell them what happened.

Tatsuya carries a sword with him, often training with it in his spare time. Ever since he was young, he's had a bokken (wooden sword) to practice with, given to him and his brother as a gift from his father.

The sword he now carries is a katana with an above average build quality. One day, Tatsuya heard a rumour that an inn on the village outskirts was secretly selling weapons. Curious, Tatsuya went over to the inn, and ordered the "secret menu item" that would supposedly allow you to purchase a weapon. The waitress came back with the katana, and Tatsuya decided to buy it.
