true and also no one has pushed him into his delirium's of "i have to become hokage" so maybe its just the way the story line is going that doesn't let him express his feelings of being a hokage. But i think the main thing is that his new goals are pretty tough and don't go with the job a hokage...

i think that naruto's mind has changed like Frederick said. His dream for Hokage was a child's dream to receive recognition, now that he has that and has set new, far more difficult goals, i doubt he will take the position unless absolutely needed like with Tsunade
