he would have had them before. if he got them becasue of the 10 tails his Dojutsu would not have been able to be passed down as it was a power from the 10 tails.

In his fight against pain when he hit his Human Path we seen the body being disintegrated by the sage mode Rasenshuriken. i think normal Rasenshuriken would not kill him but would be incapacitated (like kakusu) sage mode would disintegrate his body and he would die.

everyone knows gaara is way stronger then most. also very smart and cool headed. he could compete with any other kage.

i thought you only die when you seal something. so if you use it and dont seal anything you would not die. i wouldnt think shadow clones, becasue if you seal a shadow clone you are still sealing yourself. if you could use them then Hiruzen would just have to make 3 then he wouldnt have died.
