I'm not sure about this whole Amaterasu encircling the forest. I assume since the user which was Itachi at the time died. The flames disappeared as a result of the users death or Kishimoto simply had the fires put out by plot. Amaterasu is said to even burn on water, so i can't see how rain water took the flames from the area.
Perhaps Amaterasu fades away when the user dies in battle... You never know stranger things can happen in the series. Maybe Itachi put out the flames for some reason or another... If i remember from the fight between the brothers. Itachi pulled out his own Susanoo against Sasuke, the sun came out for some reason. After Itachi died in the battle it started to rain. So maybe the effects of sun and water together affected the stability of Amaterasu.

Thats my bad, apologies.. although sasuke used it as a counter previously, but still kabuto hasn't actually physically employed that counter. Also the bee thing was a substitution wans't it? when they tried to gedo his chakra out it poofed and turned into a tentacle - thats substitution jutsu right?

I have a theory that the thundercloud was feeding on Amaterasu and slowly absorbed it. Remember......what black Zetsu was saying...heat from Amaterasu was fuelling the cloud, and Sasuke intended to use that heat as well for his Kirin.

Like I said, I don't know why it isn't there either, but it certainly seems as though it doesn't burn for 7 days and 7 nights - thats all I was trying to point out.......
I'm not even talking about sasuke and I even said in an earlier post that amaterasu is a very strong jutsu. I was just pointing out that some of the hype surrounding amaterasu needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

But why did the replacement bee 'poof' to a tentacle, its the same as using a log isn't it (just a tentacle). Sure Sasuke cut the leg off but Bee still took advantage of that and subbed to counter the amaterasu that was already on him.

Susanoo arrows were counteres by Kakashi's kamui , Danzo's Izanagi and Wood release so even susanoo arrows have weakness
my point was not to prove that " amaterasu cannot kill " ..... my point is even amaterasu has weakness and its not as fool proof as u make it look and i think i've done that with this post (for which i didnot receive any counter argument)

Right now naruto is at his peak. His ENTIRE power comes from kurama, without that and he is pathetically weak. Give Kurama to Sasuke and you have an unstoppable god of carnage.

That isn't true, Sasuke would be nothing without his eyes or his heritage either. The tailed beasts have always remained as part of the Hokages power in Konoha, Naruto is just carrying on that legacy, just as Sasuke is.
And no, Sasuke isn't better than Naruto and he never was, Sasukes power comes from strong over all fundamental skills and his Sharingan, that is an Uchiha trait. They are geniuses from birth.

Compared to Juubi they are fodders. I don't think Amaterasu will be the key but since Kishi said he will meet Naruto I hope that he will come befere Juubi's death and do something about it.
