But I tough only the master puppeteers of the hidden sand village could do that, doesn't? That jutsu like old Chiyo used on gaara was intended to give the puppets a life, so I don't think this as a plausible and possible scenario. The only logical reason for her being alive is that pain don't aimed to nothing when he stabbed her, so he could have hit a spot near a vital one, but not a vital one for sure. So she has a little chance to survive if QB naruto don't finish the job.lol i dont really carebut u cant laugh if somebody gives up a life to bring her back

The nature effect is not a substantial reason to say Hinata is dead.
Remember Choji and Neji nearly died and Kishi used peaceful nature as a backdrop for a death teaser.
So using nature is not always a clear case of death. Look at Pa frog. No dramatic effect of nature. Nor Ma frog (if she is indeed dead too.)
And even though I believe Pain can see chakra and Naruto can sense it. I am hoping her chakra is just low and that Pain knows it only to make Naruto get emotional and trigger the nine tails.

yeah put they defeated the enemy in this case hinata and asuma got owned plus nothing bad happens to the butterfly it just flaps its wings showing sign of victory and freedom. Now for neji the sun shines bright how do you explain that? and also pein was also about to take naruto away so why would he then suddenly change his mind and make naruto go nine tails knowing that it will become harder to fight?
