personally I believe with the way the world is today I would say we are all living in Hell or Hades or whatever you wanna call it and by the way we live our lives is how we will progress from there. When we die are there any god's or 1 almighty power I have no clue but I hope there is and be progress to the next level after our deaths onto a higher plane of existence or get recycled to redo a life in hell. I also kinda weary of any organized religion because you look back on history they are the main reason for all wars and death either by claiming that god commanded them to do it or being killed for their beliefs

I don't believe in god. I don't see it as implausible that the whole clockwork theory could be true, but the idea that there is an omnibenevolent Abrahamic god is laughable.
If there is a god, he's a sadistic ass who loves drowning babies and causing famine. He doesn't love you, in all likelihood he hates you (fight club <3).
Think about it, God made us in his image (following the Abrahamic philosophy of course), humans LOVE to make each other suffer, and people suffer for no apparent reason. If anyone of human nature had absolute control of the universe they would make people suffer. Most people wouldn't admit to it, nor do they honestly think they would, but they would.
Humans HATE each other, we pass by homeless people and scoff at them, we hate everyone richer then us and hate everyone poorer then us. We hate people like us because they THINK and EXPECT to relate to us. We hate other religions, we're biased towards race, we're nice to girls we find attractive and don't give a shit about others.

One cannot believe in something, one must know it. For example, I know how to speak the English language. Knowing leads to believing. So in-respect to God, the All, Mind, the Source, The No Named One, Deity, etc... You must know it exist.

According to pope Darwin himself, if anything could be demonstrated to NOT have come about by numerous tiny modifications over time, it would prove his theory false. Well, Michael Behe is just one of many modern scientists who have demonstrated that biological processes like the coagulation cascade of blood could not have come about by numerous tiny modifications. Any living thing “evolving” blood coagulation would be dead. And dead things don’t evolve.

These are the kind of zealots we don't need. YOUR god said we go to heaven regardless of what we believe as long as we are good people. You are quite obviously not a good person and according to your own scriptures you are going to hell.

If I were God, I would frown upon the idea that someone only believed in my teachings for their own personal benefit. Like I said, the christian god said he'd allow all good people, regardless of their beliefs into heaven. Otherwise everyone in the world who lived BEFORE 20 something AD wouldngo to hell, and so would every native american who hadn't even heard of Jesus.

My opinion and why:
I believe in God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus. I went to a Catholic school all my life up until now. Of course they forced everything about religion down my throat. Now that I'm not there I still retain my beliefs. Since I left, my opinion on God has changed. To me God created everyone and everything for a reason. I don't know why, but he did. In my belief the Bible is not completely true. Whatever the case is I'm not saying that I'm right and your wrong. When I die and find out what's truly up there (or not) I am ready to admit I'm wrong. But until that day I'll stick with my beliefs. Any who, who really knows what's up there anyways? We'll all find out soon enough. At this moment I'm more concerned about living a happy life though.

I know im late but I didn't think anyone would say it first and anyways heres what I think.Theres a big amount of reasons for why I tihnk God exists and these are some: We are very well designed and so is the earth. Also can I ask how come gravity is here? Where did that come from? Everything seems to have a big design on it that makes me believe someone created it.
Heres some of my reasons to why God don't exist: There is NO proof at all, science could be true as it has been shown to be true though it might not be.
I want to add this though. To those who say "If God exists then why don't he help,save and heal us?" or "Why isn't God doing his job to help us?" well lets say he was real and everything in the past about Jesus was real. Why would he try to help us again after what humans did last time? Jesus was helping humans. Then what happend?.... My point is why would God want to make a repeat of what happend? Try to help and have all that help pushed away.
There is also the part where everything needs to be created. Well that also means God had to come from something. He can't have just poofed here right? The thing is though there has to be one thing that did poof in but somehow that makes no sense but there has to have been or how did everything start?
So it's wrong to want to go to heaven and live for eternity with God? I'm not saying it's the only reason I worship him, but obviously I wanna goto heaven... I'm sorry if that sounded like I was being selfish, but that's not how I meant it :x

To start off I am not of any religious group and feel no need to depend on any diety to get me through life as I feel we as a collective cause our own problems due to our differences (as shown with this thread and the different views) however due to the complexity of our universe and our brains etc I don't believe we were created randomly otherwise we would be random beings doing uncalculated things disregarding our use of a brain.
I believe we were created by who or what I don't know as I haven't spent my life time researching the stars or history and so I choose not to speak in this matter about things I truly know nothing about, hint hint.
To end things off I want to say in this life we live there is no such thing as fact because:
Fact: something real or an actuality that has been seen or experienced
With that being the universal understanding (please tell me your definition) I seem to find trouble knowing that most facts or things that are said to be fact are based on statistical research or historical documents which to me cannot be considered as fact because those statistics would eventually become untrue as time progresses and as for history only those who lived longer get to tell their side of the story emphasis on their side of the story.
What I'm trying to say here is nobody knows the truth but we know what is good and what is bad and if everybody focused on doing good by each other the world would be a better place and instead of arguing or debating (which ever tickles your fancy) about each others belief we should focus on why we aren't as free as we should be ........

Put it this way, hypothetically, if in your religion there was no heaven or hell would you still believe so vehemantly? As children we were taught "do this, do that, don't do this, or you go to hell". After they made us say "oh shit i HAVE to believe this" they started teaching us other things about religion. If they started off with stuff like Noah's Ark some kid would say "but wait, i think this..." And thay would cause a lot kf dissent in the church. As a child you don't questiom is because you are scared to do that.
