I have been seeing people say that Tobi was scared of Itachi and then claiming that Itachi>Tobi so I wanted to make this thread.

This is the VIZ translation of the manga, this what Tobi ACTUALLY said.

Read before posting. I said Tobi wasn't scared of Itachi, that he had a pact with him, that's why he didn't go near the village.

you're kind of right, itachi joined to spy on Akatsuki, and while he was in akatsuki he made tobi/pain promise not to harm konoah, but if you think about it, considering how powerful tobi and nagato are, they could've just broke the promise and destroy konoah earlier, they actually had to wait before he died, so this shows you that tobi/nagato either had extreme respect towards itachi, or they felt that he was powerful enough to defeat them

Just because they had a pact doesn't mean he was weaker, just assumption on your point, and if you think Itachi can beat Tobi tell me how does he?

It has been established that itachi definetly could have killed obito by him saying "If Itachi knew my secrets Id be dead by now" which proves that Obito Definetly thought Itachi was MORE than capable of killing him. In fact, going by his words Obito was SURE that itachi he'd prove no match to Itachi.

2nd. Being crushed by that rock was the best thing to happen to obito because otherwise Itachi would have killed him in the massacre

Your missing the point. Whether Itachi knew his secrets or not is moot. The point in that sentence was that Obito said Itachi could have killed him.
