nagato is prone to one genjutsu because he thought jiraiya sucked at genjutsu and underestimated him. visual genjutsus useless vs a sensor. and you should never judge a fight based purely on intelligence. nagato is a god and praised as invincible/unbeatable by top class shinobi like konan and obito.

You realize he got caught in genjutsu twice right. Its not about what they have, its about how well they use them and Nagato sucks at using his rinnegan

nagatos the best rinnegan user ever. and only sound genjutsu trapped him. which was only once. it takes a genjutsu as incredible as that to take him out.

1)Itachi was talking about the Fox inside naruto , if you go back to The Manga you will see Kisame saying in the end after their talk "and His babysitter is one of the legendary sannin" so who do you think they were talking about ? huh ?

2)the sannin isn't a rank , its just a Title + orochimaru wasn't far away from jiraiya's level , lost to itachi with just one look and don't tell me he didn't want to kill him because itachi didn't either.

3) Jiraiya kneew shit from akatsuki's memeber and their level + They didn't want to capture naruto in the beggining and as you can see they had a lot of chances and itachi was protecting konoha why would he capture naruto ?

first kisame is the best jinchuuriki hunter in the akatsuki and he had itachi as an extra so you wana tell me that they were talking about the nine tails while their mission was to capture it (kisame was laphing at naruto and saying he will cut his legs off).
sannin is not a level but its legendary states (legendary title) and each of the sannin is strong in a different way (that why itachi said i can't defeat a sannin LIKE jiraiya) (but jiraiya and oro are on the same level) oro said that he can't fight a sharingan and may i remind you that itachi seald a weak oro desperate for a body.
