That's why I like Fairy Tail. Their power is based on their bonds with their friends and family. Saber Tooth was slowly getting on Natsu's nerves. First they kicked out a member just for losing, which got Natsu angry. Then Minearva nearly killed Lucy, which basically angered the whole guild. Natsu had a lot of anger piled up for that guild. That's why I enjoyed the chapter. I knew that he had a lot of anger towards Saber Tooth. It seems like when a dragon slayer gets angry their power increases.
I think while Jellal is trying to go after Zeref, I think thats when the Magic Council will try to capture him. Either that or they pull him aside and then try to capture him.

I was kind of disappointed, I was expecting.... hmm... a better fight I guess. But yay they're in 1st place!

And to all the people who are complaining: this is how Fairy Tail always has been, ever since the first chapter. Don't like it? Then don't read it. We already get those complicated, dragged out fights in Naruto and One Piece and also often in Bleach. There's of course nothing wrong with that, but it's simply refreshing to see something different for a change, to really see something like "arg, screw it! Atomic Smash!", fights that are short, but really boost your adrenalin in an instant. Fairy Tail has simply been a manga that does unorthodox things and that kind of battles is what makes FT FT, so stop complaining as if you change that, it isn't FT anymore.
I think it's Zeref. He cried on Tenroujima, because he didn't wish to hurt anyone, and wanted Natsu to kill him. If it's Zeref, maybe he's crying because Natsu might not be ready to kill him yet.I was kind of disappointed, I was expecting.... hmm... a better fight I guess. But yay they're in 1st place!

I had high expectations for this chapter. I was rather disappointed. It's not that the fight was easy. I get that the fight needed to be over quickly to move the main part of the arc along. In fact, I think I enjoyed it more because Natsu was so overwhelming.
However, I hated the way Gajeel was just discarded. He trained hard for three months. Natsu partied, and then got a quick power boost. For this, Gajeel should have gotten a larger role in the fight. I'm not saying he should have been the one to trash both of them; that's Natsu's job, no question. But we saw that Gajeel was, so far, doing equally well as Natsu. He shouldn't have been thrown away like that.
What makes me really annoyed is that Natsu did it for purely selfish reasons. He was angry at the two of them for "killing" their parents, and he felt he owed it to the guild to win this fight. But Gajeel had the same motivations. It seems to me like Natsu wanted the glory of beating them and reaffirming FT as the strongest guild to himself. Which is kind of a jerk move, and it goes against all of the "strength in teamwork" speeches he's had.
All in all, I think it would have been a better chapter if we had seen both Gajeel and Natsu completely obliterate Sting and Rogue.

to be honest, so did I. I wanted Natsu to finish them off by using a lightning-fire combo but still, dragon slayer secret art was pretty sweet!I wanted to see Natsu using lightningfire, but whatever.

I honestly don't mind that the fight ended so fast. Remember we still have the 5 on 5 final battle, plus the whole Zeref and the dragon king festival. I kind of hate when fights take to long, i start to loose interest.

After reading the last few chapters several times, I believe that Gajeel fighting Sting and Rogue would of had the same outcome. We saw how after Sting went all DF on both Natsu and Gajeel, they both got up thought the same thing (how strong Sting was in DF) and noticed Sting's traits (and Rogue's from earlier most likely) as well, this is what Natsu used to quickly counter both Sting and Rogue, they also noticed at how frustrated they were getting and Natsu used this to his advantage as well.
Gajeel is at the same level as Natsu I believe and both are very similar in the way they fight.
