And rikerslade said it was a bad example because Sasuke had different eyes than Itachi before he got EMS, while Kakashi is using Obito's eye. So Kakashi and Obito should have the same MS design

Yes it would, it would reveal that he didn't have Madara, Izuna, or Shisui's MS, which was still a possibility at the time

As I keep saying, he wanted to have as many candidates as possible for Tobi's identity to keep us guessing. Showing us any MS would have narrowed it down significantly

Even it is never said as Kakashi's eye sight is decesing. So it might be possible it has other than MS. Because these eyes ( Obito's eyes ) have seen not the loved one's death but seen his own death. Does that make any difference ???

So after much debate about Tobi having MS, EMS, or a 3 tomoe, this chapter confirms that Tobi has Obito Uchiha's Mangekyō Sharingan. I believe this makes his endeavors much more believable considering he controlled the Kyuubi and had a s/t ninjutsu with his eye when no one else with a 3 tomoe Sharingan could do any of these things before

But the question is then how did Tobi maintain his MS for so long without going blind if he's had it for 17 years now?

Well I do know that after Sasuke defeats Danzo it shows Tobi inside his dimension looking at a big shelf of jars containing 1 sharingan each. So Tobi could be an uchiha that has massed a collection of sharingan over time and uses them whenever he needs a new one. Maybe each one has a special ability that he uses, or maybe Kishi will give us a filler showing how Tobi obtained them and what each one can do.

you're all overthinking. every tobi theory is so open to question at this point, it's best to just keep collecting info from the fight to further develop or continue your theories. again, it's way too open-ended to say anything conclusive about. most of your theories were carried on over from when you first saw madara. that's a while ago, just saying.
