I've never overrated Itachi. Truth is no one could have stopped him. Naruto and Bee would have been out. The kages were dealing with MAdara. The shinobi forces are a joke. They couldn't even take out Kimmimaro by themselves.

3. Stopped Kabuto. No explanation needed.

He battled him and trapped in a powerful Genjitsu (awesome)

4. Stopped the rest of Edo's

It likely would have been Kakashi's "squad" if Kishi wanted to play it out that way, given Kakashi is one of the very few who can match wits with Itachi, and would have found out a way to seal him.

Kakashi wouldn't beat him. Just would come up with the plan to do so, at least, I think that's how Kishi would have wrote it, anyway. There's always pulling Itachi out of Susanoo, as underneath it is a weak point. And Danzo's wind cut in to Sasuke's susanoo, it's likely that other high powered techniques could do the same.

Susanoo is not some perfect defense. It's definitely beatable.

He didn't escape Edo Tensei, he was under genjutsu the whole time. Kabuto could've cancelled him at any point. Madara escaped Edo Tensei.
