I swear 3 tomoe Tobi > Itachi? Or am I missing something?

You're delusional if think Itachi can defeat him. Tobi has stronger genjutsu than Itachi and genjutsu doesn't work on him. Amaterasu doesn't work either. For one, Tobi is intangible and Tobi has shown to be able to escape it by some unknown means. But whatever. Tobi could just theoretically warp Itachi to another dimension and just starve him to death. Itachi doesn't have a s/t tech so there is no way to escape it.

no look at the panel where tobi thinks to himself. he straight up says "if i hadnt id be dead right now".

why would he tell his secret to itachi . did itachi tell all of his secrets .

if itachi was there to stop akastsuki it was his duty to analyze tobi and do something about it

amaterasu - proven useless
tsukyomi - i really doubt it can affect a guy who controlled kuubi with 3t saringan , also an eye genjutsu is avoidable .
susanoo - useless tobi can teleport any where he wish .
itachi won't have a chance to use totsuka and yata thingy

Itachi did not has sufficient amount of knowledge on Tobi and he was smart enough to know that he can not take him out without full info, Tobi wanted a powerful ally to further his plans which also includes manipulating and using Sasuke, thats why he let Itachi live and did not attack konoha, if he wanted him dead he could have killed him any day.

Lol, he meant, if Itachi would have placed something inside of Sasuke(lol), it could of killed him. That is if Itachi knew his weakness, get what I'm saying. Kinda like how he placed Amaterasu to activate once they make eye contact. In a straight up fight, Tobi owns.

and he can warp into the ground/earth to evade attacks or give himself some defense.

Lol, Itachi was a pawn to Tobi. Also, there is nothing Itachi can do against Tobi. Genjutsu won't work. Regular attacks won't work. He doesn't have a s/t technique so what is keeping Tobi from not warping him to another dimension? I removed that last sentence, it was too condescending.

alright tobi is an izanagi user and itachi can use izanami on him. im not sure how effective it would be though. tobi does seem full of himself all the time.

its also a possibility tobi could have been over exaggerating itachi somewhat.
