I swear 3 tomoe Tobi > Itachi? Or am I missing something?

I'm pretty sure Itachi was scared as hell to try and attack Tobi to take him out. He had the chance to many times but he never dared to. But I see some people say Itachi would stomp him. Hell, I don't even know how Itachi stands a chance against Tobi's S/T ninjutsu.

I don't think that was Itachi's plan. It seemed to me that Itachi knew that he couldn't beat Tobi in a one on one fight so the best he could do was keep Tobi away from Sasuke. Don't get me wrong though Tobi knew Itachi's potential and knew that he was dangerous.

No. He did attack when Itachi was alive; Naruto's birth. Tobi was collecting the Bijuu, he had no reason to attack Konoha after that.

If people mean Tobi was scared of Itachi; He wasn't. He wanted Itachi dead so he could manipulate Sasuke on his own way, and that would be hard if Itachi was alive.

maybe , maybe not who knows ? he gotta look at you to teleport you and just a look is enough for genjutsu ..... he could set up the loop just before the battle start .....

We can all speculate, but Itachi is dead and that's that. Tobi is still alive and I don't see how Itachi could have killed him. Plus, its obvious Tobi had better genjutsu.
