I was going to make a thread like this in the past but forgot. It annoys me too that all Naruto learned is how to create a bigger Rasengan which he didn't even use again until he leaned Sage mode.
Fair enough he became slightly more intelligent in battle but that's it. He learned how to dispel Genjutsu but it proved to be useless the one time he needed it.
For this reason I don't rate Jiraya that highly, he failed as Naruto's teacher to be honest. I feel he would have learned so much more if he stayed in the village instead for the 2 years. I mean how can Jiraya not go through elemental training with Naruto in that 2 and a half yrs while Sasuke already had 2 chakra natures at the age of 13.
Sasuke trained with a Sannin for 2 yrs and see how bad ass he became. This isn't about how strong Naruto is now, it just baffles me as to how Naruto barley improved, what was he and Jiraya actually doing in those 2 yrs???
