You're making the mistake of associating the Rikudou Sennin's jutsu with Yin and Yang release. The Sage used Yin to make form and Yang to breath life into it - this is how the Bijuu were made.

Now all i want to ask you guys (not as trying to get you guys to prove me wrong or shit just asking what you guys think of my thoughts) why can't the mokuton be manipulating actually tree's. I mean what stops them from being the same as suiton or doton users who can manipulate what is already there. Suiton users can use giant water bodies for their jutsu and doton the ground.
So it could be very possible that the mokuton could be either 1) manipulating wood which is already their. or 2) Mokuton could be working similar to tsunade's diamond forehead jutsu (i don't know the name and don't wanna look it up lol) and just be speeding the growth of the cells in the tree.
Now #1 would be stoppable if that was the case while #2 would not be. Remember not trying to prove you guys wrong don't want ya to get hostile lol. The one spot i have to correct someone is i think ispeak said that yamato doesn't have life to his wood. not sure if you corrected this but actually at the same time where he described how his mokuton worked he creates tree's with leaves and life. (this of course is when naruto was training to split waterfall with his chakra)

If the trees are natural made and they are simply controlling it, then obviously the trees themselves cant be absorbed (just like every other jutsu that controls real elements). But if the trees come from their own body then the whole thing can be absorbed, whether it has life or not. But people don't understand this and are saying that all the Mokuton techniques are not made from chakra and it comes directly from the ground, even though we can clearly see the Mokuton coming from the own users body in many techniques. If it comes from their own body, then it was made from chakra and can be absorbed. Just like the Mud Wall technique. There are Mokuton Jutsu's where the user creates trees from the ground using their own chakra aswell, which can also be absorbed.
They might have some techniques that can grow real trees (thought it wouldn't make sense, since you would need a tree seed containing the embryo etc to grow a real tree), but this evidently isn't the case for every Mokuton Jutsu. That is my point.
Matter and energy are interconvertable. Shadow clones are a conversion from energy into physical matter. The Preta Path cannot absorb physical matter. /Thread.
You just said matter and energy are incontrovertible, so therefor, the clone which is now physical matter can be converted into energy and absorbed. You contradicted yourself with this statement. We've already seen preta path absorb oil I think this was enough evidence.

Mokuton, like other elements, can (in theory) control natural wood. However the uses we have seen doesn't show us this.
Suiton users send their chakra to a near by water source - they use the relevant manipulation to shape the natural water.
Doton users do the same thing with earth.
Now when you see Suiton and Doton users summon their elements out of the blue: that's their chakra and nothing more.
A Mokuton user could control natural wood if they put their chakra within actual trees. However they spawn the trees out of no-where, which leads to one conclusion: its a chakra by-product.
Tsunade's seal uses chakra to stimulate a natural process to certain levels. Preta Path absorbing the chakra wouldn't reverse the process, it would halt it.
So Mokuton chakra which is channeled onto wood that already exists would work like Tsunade's jutsu; if Preta Path absorbs that, the chakra will just be gone preventing it from being further manipulated. Whereas Mokuton jutsu spawned from thin air, as it seems, is nothing more than a product of chakra.
