Itachi's selfishness is what caused this war

If you're going to kill the entire Uchiha clan, why spare your brother who he should have known was going to exact revenge on the Leaf? He foolishly tried diverting the hate Sasuke had towards him, but Tobi/Madara told him the truth and his hatred rightfully went towards the Leaf and it's Elders. Itachi was selfish and went down the road with the least bloodshed; Until now that the truth he tried to hide came out!

Itachi tried making his little brother a pseudo-hero, Tobi stepped in and told him the truth; The elders (Danzo) forced Itachi's hand to kill the clan and he solely took the brunt of this while they're crisp clean.

And Sasuke would've stopped at Itachi. He was still not evil but not good. He was no murderer or criminal. And Itachi was seen as a villain in Konoha, people also think Sasuke killed Orochimaru and Deidara, an Akatsuki.
But then Tobi told him the truth and turned him into a real criminal. If it wasn't for Tobi, Sasuke would be wandering the world not really doing anything. He would've probably became a mercenary or something. But no, Tobi turned him into his pawn. Tobi had everything to do with Sasuke turning violent and evil, not Itachi.
I do agree it would've been right to kill Sasuke, but Itachi sacrificed so much and saved SSSSOOOO many lives I just don't care.

Sasuke would have lived a lie the rest of his life though, that would not be right, especially since Danzo would have killed him if he returned either way.
