Hiruzen was called the god of shinobi and the professor and he Got caught in the bringer of darkness genjutsu.

Hashi is a senju and the strongest senju in the series i highly doubt that minato would ever reach his lvl. Remember Uchiha and Senju/distant relative clans >then everyone else xd

You're right, I completely forgot Orochimaru when I just saw that episode again yesterday. But other than that, he's STILL not on a Shisui level. Also, I know it works on incoming attacks, which would pretty much render the Uchiha Katon jutsu useless. Hell, it would probably even work with Amaterasu.

To our knowledge when it comes to genjutsu's Shisui has only kotoaskumi and basic sharingan genjutsus based off feats its safe to say Itachi is better with genjutsu. when the allied shinobi forces questioned who could use genjutsu outside of sensors range they said itachi not shisui and they were aware that the enemy was using edo so if shisui was better with genjutsu then itachi why didnt they assume that it could be him? And i do agree that his achievements are ridiculous and he is talented beyond belief but he will never reach hashis lvl

hmmmm, genjustu justu is a no, plus he can disrupt his chakra. izanami only work onpeople that don't know who they are. he's too fast for a sharigan to see his movement

First. Itachi wont use izami or inzagi since doing so he looses sasano(acording to sauske) u need 2 Ms eyes to use. So stop trying to use that. Also the prep time for those is a while n minato is fastest ninja ever.

Edit. He also wouldn't use those jutsu because he is saving his eyes for sauske. U need to use a lil common semse

Seriously? I'm starting to wonder if people on this site actually read the manga..

- 4th Raikage dodges amaterasu with his speed.. Minato is faster than 4th Raikage.

- What is Itachi going to do with Susanoo? Hit Minato with the sealing blade? He could only hit Nagato because of his lack of mobility.

- Izanami is to made to correct ninja who have gone astray and are overconfident. Minato is anything but.

- Sasuke's sharingan is more perceptive than Itachi's and couldn't keep up with 4th Raikage's movements. As stated before Minato is faster than 4th Raikage.

- There's honestly no use in logically arguing with your last point. Both Minato and Itachi propelled the plot to where it is.. Minato directly affected the main character, Itachi directly affected a supporting character..

There are too many unknown facts about Minato even now. We have seen a lot about Itachi's but barely about Minato's so it is hard to tell. Although the case of him beating Itachi is possible may be even highly possible.

The problem is that Minato is much more faster than him. He won't even have time to cast 3/4 of these jutsus that he will be long dead. If he don't start with Susanoo from the start, he is dead

If itachi begins with Susano minato has nothing to get past it, minato's offensive capabilities are diminished, this is where genjutsu plays a key role genjutsu> minato.

before itachi fanboys attack like Planet of the AApes read the thread first

itachi have a lot of techs and most of them are so fast that people can't dodge. but we found out that amastera was dodgable with the 3rd Raikage. maybe becuase we have not seen a ninja good at speed go agaisnt a uchiha yet beside raikage. . most of the susanoo moves can be dodged also like the bow and arrow , Minato should have more justus than the ones we have seen also. even his advance sealing techs will be helpful againt a sharigan user. with chakra their sharigan is useless.\

once minato tagged someone it's easy to attack. so imagine a barrage of rasengans one after another. I also think that he has fought sharigan users and knows their battle strategy which was probably why he bested tobi, besides him being stronger.

yes, i do understand that itachi has izanami but it wouldn't affect minato because he already found his meaning for life, which was why the 3rd choose him over orochimaru.

tsukuyomi is only good agaisnt people who haven't fought agaisnt sharigan users. yeah yeah, itachi can get you by lifting his finger but minato being a genuis would ccounter it.any of itachi fire style techs would be useless agaisnt speed.

I will admit, itachi v.s minato would be hard,. but agaisnt a person who is good at spamming ftg will win with high dif, (that's if he's caught in tsukuyomi.

and yeah, itachi has yata mirror and can seal with one shot, ftg can evade anything right beofre it hits, as shown agaisnt the raikage. plus minato only activated level 2. which would say there is a 3rd level or a final one. plus, yata mirror only work with people who spam element techs. itachi doesn't have enough chakra to dead with minato.

Feats-wise, the fact you can still make a decent case for Minato should mean something. Despite the limited

while minato is a speedster with no counters to illusions.

You can't put someone in an illusion if you can't follow him(just look what happened during Raikage vs Sasuke's fight). Minato on the other side could surpass him with speed use hiraishin+rasengan to finish the fight

Not true sasuke never attemped genjutsu on raikage he used amerterasu.

He tried a genjutsu on Raikage, but Raikage said to him he can't be caught in something like Sharingan so it was useless. You can see it here. Sasuke is trying a genjutsu, and look what Raikage says:
