Nagato outsmarted/overpowered by Itachi

I just realized this when re-reading the part when Itachi got out of Kabuto's control and fought Nagato who was fully controlled by Kabuto. He blinded Nagato's summons and found a way to defeat Chibaku Tensei. Itachi even helped Naruto and B break free from Nagato, both are helpless and could have been killed if it weren't for Itachi's presence. Finally, he was the one who sealed Nagato. So I do believe that Itachi could be a very difficult opponent for Nagato and has chances of beating him.xd

Yeah, Itachi didn't overpower Nagato at all. He wouldn't have beaten CT if he didn't have the Hachibi and the Kyuubi backing him up.

Nagato might have a very wide range of jutsu but Itachi can easily discern his opponent's jutsu and always finds a way to counter them. Intelligence is also a key factor in battle, not just power. Not to mention, Itachi himself is also powerful.

Nagato's known weakness is Genjutsu and he's going up against the best genjutsu user on the show/manga that we have seen thus far and also he has Susanoo..."why do you think the Uchiha clan is known by all and feared by all"

Naruto and B didn't helped him at all except for the part when the three of them broke Chibaku Tensei. It was actually Itachi who helped those two when being restrained by Nagato.

Itachi's best Genjutsu is from eye contact, just don't look at his eyes. You people still haven't told me how Itachi would counter CT right from the start.

amaterasu can burn it and totsuka can seal it

Nagato would hit him with a chou shinra tensei which reduced Buildings made out of bricks knocking him back miles probably killing him

Celestial Tera Blast would crush him to dust

Divine Attractor+Preta would finish his Susanoo off and Asura Path would rip of his limbs

The Summons would at the very least distract Itachi Ceberus and Rhino would be very difficult to fight while Nagato is coming at you

Nagato can fly as well so he can just float above Itachi spamming powerful attacks from above with preta path enabled and Itachi automatically loses he can only throw Kunai while hes getting ripped apart by Tidal waves

Since the Rinnegan is the final evolution of the sharingan which belongs to the uchiha clan Nagato's strengh with it is not good enough... Tobi already said that MS Sasuke was already close to the same power as Nagato that should tell you that Nagato could not defeat Itachi...

He would use izanagi for example then its really over...
