Why was EDO tensei Hashirama so weak?

Some say that Oro was playing with Hiruzen so didnt have to use the kages' full power others say that because Hiruzen was stronger or it was a plothole = Kishi's fault

2 reasons. it was not either at full power ( kabuto goes 2nd hokage made it orichumu tested it and he mastered it).
2.It could have been a clone without orichumu knowing.

Three reasons
1. Hashirama was controlled and not at free will as madara is so he didn't use his hidden powers (flower world, healing etc)
2. Kabuto surpassed orochimaru and perfected edo-tensei so edo-hashi was weaker
3. Plot no jutsu. ( Orochimaru would hav crushed konoha. Kishi can't let that happen, can he xd )

He was not weak, him and his brother did not fight seriously against Sandaime, because clearly he was too old for that kind of battle, so they were toying with him, and were slowly revealing thier arsenal until Sandaime cut them short with the Shiki Fuujin.

1.as a edo hashirama healing wouldnt matter
2.kabuto just made edo tensei slightly better but oro prefected it
3.no he wouldnt have even if he killed hiruzen he would still have to deal with jiraiya guy and kakashi

Many reasons;
1. Oro was a noob with edo tensei
2. He hasnt done his research enough on them to use their abilities to the fullest
3. Oro is an idiot who underestimates his opponents. If i remmeber correctly he stated that he wanted to enjoy hiruzen being raped by his 2 former teachers.
4. Is the most important one which is plot. If prime hiruzen was to beat either the 1st or second hokage he would take it with stupidly high difficulty. There is no way in hell, old hiruzen would beat either hokage's if they were at their strongest. Kishi had to find a way to weaken them enough for old hiruzen's 'victory' to look reasonable. If the 2 hokages were truly at their strongest, old hiruzen wouldve been beaten EASILY and that will lead to the destruction of konoha, because nobody is stopping those 2 hokages. I mean in the village alone it was said that there was nobody capable of stopping orochimaru, so imagine those 2 hokages + oro. The series obviously has to go on and so does konoha therefore kishi created a scenario where the hokage's power levels were so low that hiruzens 'victory' over them was reasonable.
