Avengers sucked

In the end, you have to decide on your own whether to watch the movie or not, unless someone whose movie opinions mirrors your own gives an opinion you trust. Don't pay for 3D if you're unsure. I thought this movie was great! They didn't need to use too much of the movie for character setup, because of the other movies (smart move). The characters fighting amongst each other was amplified due to loki's staff being on their proximity, increasing whatever fears & distrust was already present in them. The characterizations were right on. Bruce Banner heeded Tony Stark's words to him about being able to control himself & that's why I believe he exerted more control in the Hulk persona. Shawarma, anyone?

I think there was too much forced comedy in this movie. Like i didn't feel like i was watching natural dialogue between characters, i felt like i was listening to screenwriters trying to make the audience laugh. I didn't get why they were arguing like children when the world was in danger of being destroyed, that fact would probably make most people put aside their differences. In the comics Thor and Iron are BY FAR the most powerful out of the group. Theres nothing captain america, black widow and hawkeye, hell even iron man, could do that thor and hulk couldnt do 1000x better. How come hulk was trying to kill black widow and thor then later he could miraculously control him to fight only bad guys. And lokis a lame villain cause hes neither incredibly smart or incredibly powerful without his army he would be able to anything. And like captain america gets shot point black with the alien laser but he doesnt die, those are the weakest ****ing lasers. And somebodys not a troll if they have an honest opinion as to why they didnt like the movie. There a troll if they thought it was good but say it sucked just to piss people off. Im not trolling, I genuinely didnt like this movie...

I'm a Batman fan (huge), but I think it won't beat Avenges (money wise. Bats will have an amazing story, overall, Avengers may just win this year Either way, great year for comic book fans!). Avengers was the definition of epic. It's movie of the year for me so far.

you took the words right out of my mouth. Batman was always my favorite and first superhero since i was a kid. but Avengers is movie of the year until Batman comes out. i think it will be close between them.

idk how Rises can top what Heather Ledger did in Dark Knight. but yea it is a great year for comic and superhero fans.

Avngers rocked. Best action of a superhero movie so far. the army followed Loki because they wanted that power source(forget the name)Thor was not powered down to me. Iron man lost that fight and on top of that if you look at the comics you would be pissed to discover what ironman can withstand.the army was made up of superstrong gears of war like aliens. Black widow is a master fighter who did look winded. They were a problem for her while thor did not have to worry about them delivering damage. Some parts were a little forced but you cant combine this many heroes and expect plot to move fluidly. I dont think a better avengers movie could have been made if they triedas hard as possible. I did hate the beginning. felt likethey did not have a way to star so just went in and hoped the rest of the movie would make up for it. Thought the action was great though and was much much better than i was expecting.

what a terrible piece of garbage.
infantile dialogue with constant attempts at humour even when completely inappropriate
out of character behaviour (thor seemed to regress to how he was at the start of his movie and same with tony). everyone seemed to be petulant teenagers always fighting amongst themselves for seemingly no reason.
waay powered down characters. remember how thor basically solo'd hundreds of frost giants? apparently one guy in a suit can get the best of him.
unexplained plot devices and nonsensical crap, like hulk suddenly abel to control himself.
pathetic villain defeat and motivation. loki was great in thor and horrible in avengers. he seemed like he couldnt do anything without his precious army and got stomped by hulk in a ridiculous cartoonish way
overlong, overhyped, overblown tripe. i couldnt believe i was looking at my watch while the big fight with the army happened. we were led to believe this was most of the movie but it went by so fast and was cartoonish.
none of the other movies were this comedic and forced. thor was serious. captain america was serious. i got tired of downy jr's "witty banter" in iron man 1. hes supposed to have wised up by now and become more serious.
and plus the story felt forced and things went nowhere. who was this army? where did they come from? why do they want to rule earth? why would they follow loki if they are so strong? why were they beaten so easily, so much so that black widow was fighting on par with them but thor seemed to be doing no better than her?
why did they introduce fury becoming bad and building nukes and shit if it went nowhere? did the writers just forget?
its called avengers but it should be called iron man 3 starring iron man and nick fury. no one else was in this movie. they just stood around occasionally swinging a hammer or a shield.
hawkeye being temporarily evil was a waste of time and completely pointless if he was healed from it by just getting hit on the head. i literally shouted wtf at that one.
whats the point of having thor there if hes barely any more special or powerful than iron man, a normal human? comics wise he is by far the strongest. and it would look pretty clownish to have comic thor being treated as hawkeyes equal.
did they ever explain how loki survived his fall? was the MAIN VILLAIN's story not important to these writers?
why did hawkeye seem to have unlimited arrows? was he pulling them out of his ass?
all the fights sucked. would it kill them to hold the camera still? remember how in incredible hulk we saw pretty much all of hulk vs abomination? that was a great fight because we saw it all. and because we were emotionally invested due to the whole fight being a leadup to that. but there was no leadup to hulk stomping on loki and no leadup to nameless goons doing no better vs a human girl than they do against a norse god. it got insulting after a while to watch this pig slop. only reason i ddint walk out is i didnt want to waste my money.

only good parts were the music, loki's crazy smile at the beginning, and mark ruffalo not being horrible.

The movie was about average, it wasn't amazing but it also wasn't terrible. But if I had to choose between good and bad, I'd definitely go with good.

I actually enjoyed the funny bits. It was like having a break from all the arguments the members were having. But the bickering made absolute sense. It was a quickly formulated "team" and none of them understood each other. One is a god, the other has just woken up from 70 years of being in suspended animation, another is a weapon's billionaire/playboy, another one that's a scientist that just wanted to be left alone, etc. Seriously what did you expect? It would have been weird if they didn't argue.

And why do you want to know more about the army? They were practically Loki's minions, they didn't need to be focused on that much.

I could keep going with this but I'm not going to... >_>
