Although I would not call Kakashi weak by any standards, I would admit that he did get beaten pretty quickly by Pain.
He used a lightning clone to learn as much as he could which consumed half his chakra.
He then used an Earth Jutsu to trap Pain which failed, leaving him very weakened and then he died after using 2 Kamui, one to save himself and the other for Choji.
Now, I admit Pain was a whole new level of badass villain and Kakashi had little to no knowledge on him but I still say he should really have done much better, if he is to be worthy of the very, VERY high praise some people are giving him.
Let it be known that I rate Kakashi amonst the top ninja and have a lot of respect for his character, but he has his place and it is not No1.

You know nothing of Mei yet, so don't comment.
Tsunade...she can't be killed with her new move and we dunno how long it lasts yet, also she has a massive summon. Tsunade is Hokage & Sannin which trumps Jonin by a lot. I also agree that logically Kakashi should be able to win, but it is unlikely that he would beat Kage/Sannin.
Gaara....just stfu, not a chance in Hell.
- I know that Mei with a group of jounins wasn't able to take care of Black Zetsu on her own during a day long or even more, and she was clearly tired while fighting Madara and got healed by Tsunade. Only that proves me she's weak.
- I doubt tsunade can't be killed. If you raikiri his heart, i doubt she could regenerate, and even if it's the case i think if a part of her body disappeared, she can't regenerate that. So if Tsunade get cut in 2 for example, it's over.
- Gaara apart from desert is not that strong. He got captured by Deidara who was at his disadvantage in the desert, while he didn't even wanted to kill him. Since then Gaara did nothing impressiv. His father went on his self. Mizukage helped him several times to defeat him. What can Gaara do against suiton jutsus Kakashi can do? We have already seen that chidori was able to pass through his defense and we all know that Gaara is a static fighter, so it will be easy for Kakashi to go through his defense thanks to Raikiri/Raiden and his Sharingan.
But you can think what you want. I can't change your mind.

You have no proof that Kakashi can handle Gaara atm. I on the other hand have reason to believe that Gaara can handle Kakashi, with little trouble.
MS Sasuke barely managed to change the look on Gaara's face when they fought at Gokage summit...the video launched by studio Pierot showed how they felt the fight should have gone, had it been shown in the manga...the anime also agrees.

Anime, shows Gaara can handle Amaterasu and is certainly not afraid of a S-rank battle with Sasuke who uses lightning,fire and MS.
Sasuke is much better than Kakashi at this stage and even so, Gaara is shown to be his superior. Only Susanoo saved Sasuke here...
Chidori Blade which is a more impressive form of Chidori doesn't manage to get through Gaara's defence and reach him and that was while Gaara remained static.
I don't know where you got that video but it doesn't appear in the manga, and i believe Kishi is better to talk about Gaaras strenght than studiot pierrot(if it really comes from them).
Don't also forget Sasuke was already tired at that moment to make a good fight.
I also don't know how you know that at that moment Sasuke was stronger than Kakashi. Kakashi has advantages that Sasuke doesn't have against Gaara. For example he is better in ninjutsus skills like Suiton jutsu like i've said before.

Gaara would get owned by alot of ppl but kakashi isnt one of them, he doesn't have susanoo so how would he survive this?

Studio Pierot and the people who make the Anime, work directly with Kishi. It is only the movies and fillers that are made without his approval as they do not link to the story at all.
So, whatever happens in the anime/or extra's released to fill in blancs is to be taken as true. Only filler & movies are crap.

Gaara can control the sand and minerals in the ground. If Kakashi goes under, he will get trapped.
Kakashi can only use those water techniques if there is a large water source...He won't be able to match Gaara's sand with the little water he controls...also Sand>>>Water.
Maybe you're right and in this case i agree with you that Gaara is powerful(much more powerful than i thought from the begin), but i really doubt Studio pierrot work with Kishi, cuz there are sometimes many error made by the anime. For example, in the mangas, Sasuke doesn't have totsuka or yata mirror, but against Kakashi they gave him that. The same is when in the mangas, Sasuke used 2arrows against Kakashi, but in the anime, it's just one. The same goes with the taijutsu scene that they made between Kakashi and Sasuke when Naruto came to save Sakura, but in the mangas, Kakashi only punched Sasuke once.
And that's only error i noticed in "one" fight. I can talk you about many others i've seen so far, but they are too much.
They change a lot of scenes in the anime, that i really doubt in the fact that Kishi works with them.
Have you seen the scene carefully?? Itachi had only time to cast his katon jutsu, that Kakashi already had time to go underground, and attack him quickly after that with a clone. So to trap Kakashi, Gaara must have time for that, which i highly doubt. And even apart from that, Gaara needs time to mix his sand with minerals underground. Don't forget that.
Like Gaara also needs sand to do that.
Also you're wrong. Kakashi can do suiton without source of water. He proved that against Kakuzu. Also Gaara needs to be on the ground to be able to use the environment perfectly. That's why he flies only rarely when he fights.

Gaara sands automatically protects him and kakashi dont carry a case of water so he cant do that suiton dragon. Gaara flys kakashi has no jutsu that will reach him.Like Gaara also needs sand to do that.
