There's no telling that his arrancar-half along with his already mature matabolism would accept such growings. Or it could turn out really gross like women taking male growth hormones >.<
gene therapy works extremely well when isolated to a single specimen. in the instance of women taking growth hormones, that's not exactly the same thing but regardless mass production doesn't allow you to create a direct sequence of changes. This is why things always work great in a lab, but tend to have side effects in production. ;)

So, then, how do you propose we give grimm's eyeballs gene therapy on an individualized specimen level? O_O

That's always been the problem >_>

We could do something with shadow cloning something or other, and using chakra to perform all the gene therapy...

Not a problem. DNA is DNA, the same DNA that create your arm is the same DNA that creates your eyes, tongue, etc. A cell sample broken down could be analyzed (a complete chart of acids and their position in the double helix made) then compared against an uchiha cell sample. Then in the UCS introduce copies of the DNA into proto-cells to have it create RNA and see how it forms. Modify and reform, modify, reform. etc. Do this until you are able to isolate the gene which creates the sharingan itself. Then introduce that series of acids into his DNA through acid production therapy.

Hmm, that's interesting. Introducing it into the DNA through acid production therapy, that's quite ingenious. But you don't think it might be a bit risky ? If we're off even the slightest bit in the isolation of the gene, or the acid production, it could have disasterous effects... he could grow a new nose, or something :O

And again, you don't think it would be too much for his system to take? I mean, adding a kekki genkai into someone not born with it is quite risky.

We could also introduce the DNA in the form of a laboratory-made virus. And have the virus "infect" his eye cells, and introduce its DNA along with the sharingan gene. Somehow.

hrmmm.. i have no clue =/
wat about stem cells.. it could help to grow the nerves needed to for the sharingan..

The thing is, the sharingan is a specific gene. Whether or not you have the gene is determined by your DNA. We can change your DNA and isolate the gene, but the problem is changing the DNA in ALL of your eye cells.

Keep in mind when you think on the level of DNA there is no "eye" or "leg" or whatever. It's all acids and proteins. Basically proteins make up the cell and acids are like the instructions that tell what shape the cell will take and what it will be used for. There is no need for a virus or any type of risky toying around like that (that's how AIDS came around). What you simply have to do is figure out what acids need to be where in the double helix, once you know that, you can use drugs therapy to place those acids in that location. especially if you are working with a single specimen (person).

Yeah yeah, I know that, but how are we going to put the gene in on all of his eye cells at once? Or are we just going to assume that they'll undergo mitosis, and he'll eventually get a sharingan?
